I'm always surprised how few people take notes in meetings. I don't know about you but I can't recall 95% of what was said just minutes after a meeting.

The 6ft man problem. Developed in the 60s, building code is rooted in maintaining the efficient and safe movement of a 6ft tall male carrying a briefcase to work. The built environment is compliant to this standard and it causes trillions of dollars in loss and damages every year.

Someone hands you a no-strings-attached $10m check but you have to use it to address a critical global issue, which one would you choose? And how would you utilize these funds to ignite lasting change? Share your thought-out strategy.

@LiveSimulator I don’t think you’re the problem lol. I tell war stories, and I listen to them and try to learn from them too. But the reality is if we are truly trying to be supportive to someone our advice would come as a well formed question.

@SamLoci Is it wrong that I would say the first part of that? When I give advice, I imagine the person, potentially, as "me in the past" - it might seem condescending, but in my head there's literally zero value judgement, I'm saying what I wish I'd been told.

@LiveSimulator Women succeeding in patriarchal structures that thrive off of inequity are often the worst offenders of this line of questioning. A common ‘persona’ I encounter: “It was hard for me, so it won’t be easy for you, you’d be so lucky to learn from me”

@LiveSimulator We all, and I mean all of us, have to be cognizant of what we trust and why. We have to have the self awareness to know when we are asking questions to self sooth vs asking questions because of genuine curiosity.

@SamLoci How would one interpret the data regarding female VCs backing/not backing female-led companies? Genuinely curious-if as a VC you knew that the industry was biased, you are less inclined to say, lead the investment, even though as a VC you aren't biased, in effect you are?
