@AdamLucioWX It’s easier just to ignore women now. You can tell a woman you like her hair style and then she’ll press charges on you for sexual harassment. You could be screwed if you talk to them and you’re screwed if you don’t talk to them.

The disrespect of women in this community is indeed sad. Over the years, when Chelsea and I are sitting somewhere, there have been dozens of chasers (men) who come up to say hi to me and completely ignore her, like blatantly. Noone is asking for a red carpet welcome, but some of you cant even be bothered to simply smile and say hi back. Its pathetic. Its been bugging me for a couple years but Ive kept my mouth shut until now. If this is who you are as a person, dont even bother saying hi to me.

@ryanhallyall I grew up with my mom being obsessed with storms so we always had a weather radio in our house. It's where I get my obsession too.

I wish schools would teach basic map-reading. It’s concerning how often I post simple, labeled weather maps (especially during winter) and a large chunk of the public can’t find where they live. I understand everyone has different gifts, but this feels like a basic life skill.

It’s honestly remarkable how the April 24-27 period consistently spits out multi-day high end severe weather setups. It’s probably the one period every year I’d put money on.

Drylines are truly fascinating… the idea that it can get *warmer* behind storms is so counter-intuitive to most people. And going from desert air to tropical soup in 25 miles? Just surreal. South Africa and Argentina also have drylines, although rarely as dramatic as ours.
Jacob@Jigsaw9051Wx

Guys where’s the dryline, I can’t find it.

The latest HRRR run is showing multiple intense supercells and multicell clusters developing right inside the CIG2 tornado risk area later today. Storms may rapidly organize from Iowa into southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois, with the potential for damaging winds, large hail, and tornadoes. Some of these storms could become strong and long-tracked if they remain discrete before eventually merging into larger clusters this evening.

@ChasingWConnor Well.. there's currently 10 warnings and have had at least 4 confirmed. It isn't even 3pm yet. It does look messy though I don't know if it'll last long.

I am not saying today will be a total bust, but this banana low surface pattern proves time and time again that it is not conducive for significant severe weather outbreaks. Best chances for sig severe weather are in Wisconsin where the boundaries/fronts at play are oriented more N/S and down along the dry line in OK if anything initiates far enough south away from the crashing cold front.

SEVERE WEATHER OUTBREAK is likely for over 48 million people tomorrow, with widespread damaging winds, very large hail, and multiple tornadoes possible. This is shaping up to be a VERY dangerous day of severe weather. Storms should begin around 2pm and will continue into the overnight hours. Spread the word and follow me for the latest updates. We will be LIVE covering this.

@MatthewCappucci Everyone gets them wrong but there have been at least 90% of higher that you all have been correct about storms. I still have a ton of respect for NWS/SPC.

What a HORRIBLE forecast by meteorologists – especially myself. Not only were we spectacularly wrong – we communicated poorly. It became apparent last night that some of our initial expectations would prove fallacious. I'd like to address what went wrong with our forecast:

Sometimes you make bad decisions when storm chasing. Today I made a very bad decision leaving that storm near Kankakee and targeting the storms coming into western Illinois. On a more important note, I’m praying for all those affected by today’s storms! Tough day for a lot of folks in Illinois and Indiana.

@Annuh_wx @BradArnoldWX Consider yourself lucky you left because they had baseball sized hail. It would have totaled your vehicle.

@Nc3three @ChasingWConnor No because there is no valid reason for a change of time now. The time change has shown it causes more heart attacks and car accidents. Farmers have headlights now.
