The deliberate arson attacks against Hatzola ambulances in London are a particularly sickening assault - not only on the Jewish community, but on the values we share as a society. The targeting of Hatzola by people so committed to terror, hatred and the desecration of life is a most painful illustration of the ongoing battle between those who sanctify life and those who seek to destroy it. At a time when Jewish communities around the world are facing a growing pattern of these violent attacks, we will meet this moment with shared resolve and stand together against hatred and intimidation.

@mrcarl_woodward Ridiculous. I love theatre but in recent years I've decided to venture outside of the West End more. Much more affordable and it's broadened my horizons.

@mrcarl_woodward But the same production was at @OpenAirTheatre in Regents Park and tickets were very affordable. You can be a canny theatre-goer if you book early & at the originating house. If people will pay vast sums, why not? Subsidises the rest of us.

We need to stop normalising bullshit ticket prices. Broadway and the West End aren’t sacred temples of art — they’re business models. And lately there’s been a very real effort to discredit and demean anyone who calls that out

Out in London nearly every night the last week. 4 music events, a pub quiz, Xmas drinks, birthday party. Stratford, the O2, Kentish Town, Holloway, Soho, Camden, Green Lanes. Never seen the city so busy, people lovely, public transport clean & efficient & I wasn’t murdered once
