The proposal would involve moving US troops from "unhelpful" countries and into countries who were "more supportive" of the Iran War 2. The plan is early in conception and one of several the White House is discussing to punish NATO 3. The US currently has around 84,000 troops stationed across Europe 4. Countries that could benefit because they are viewed as supportive include Poland, Romania, Lithuania, and Greece, US officials said US-NATO relations appear to be degrading.
