Perhaps the UK should charge a toll of £1m per ship passing through the English Channel? That would generate £288bn per year.

@MattisRedacted Spain, by that point, was a much-reduced power; its warships were obsolete. Plus, why be proud of a war that Hearst Newspapers incited just to boost sales?

@engineers_feed NO, lift/Flight is determined by the speed of the AIR over the lifting surfaces (Wings), not the notional ground speed.'

@dave43law What about the Submarine base in Scotland? Moving into the Baltic is hardly practical, as for the rest of it yes, put your bases where even Russia's short-range weapons can reach. Then there is the Early Warning radar station in the UK lol!

@Night_Raven2000 @VFinnishProbs Actually, it was 12% (Look it up). I do read history, all of it arctic wasteland, but they survived as a country, something most of the other Baltic nations failed to do.

@Americanvalues @VFinnishProbs The Fins have fought 2 wars against the Soviet Union in sub-zero temperatures, last time I checked. The closest the US got was the Battle of the Bulge, which lasted 2 weeks.

@JamesSurowiecki Approximately 6,000 undocumented and foreign-born workers, often called "forgotten heroes," played a critical role in the 9/11 cleanup, removing millions of tons of debris from Ground Zero and surrounding buildings . Many worked 12-hour days without proper safety equipment.

Yes, Europeans just leave dead bodies lying around. That's why there are no war cemeteries in France.

@TheWitness2030 @SciFi_Addict @itsalireza_akb I think you have the cause and effect backwards. The IRGC is mad because the middle east sided with genocide'rs against them. So, they{gulf states} get to eat missiles until THEY learn the lesson. Who exactly in the MEast has the capacity to field an army there... NONE

@patroitguy @SciFi_Addict @itsalireza_akb I’m sure the Germans said the same thing in the 40’s when the “good guys” firebombed Dresden on a Catholic feast day specifically to maximize the civilian death count. Roads, rails and bridges are “dual use objects” and therefore lawful targets. Frankly, the U.S is being nice.

@Harrisbro777 Trump has spent the last several years denigrating the US's allies, so what do you expect? If Iran had actually attacked the US as per Article 5, we would have assisted, but what we have here is unjustified US aggression, so no, we will not legitimise your war crimes.
