@prempanicker 3 parties getting obliterated with one political move is relatively unheard of.

AIADMK-DMK to join hands, shock, horror!!! Read your history: less than a week before he was to be sworn in, MGR sent R Veeramani to talk to M Karunanidhi about a merger of both parties. And this, when AIADMK had won a majority. Not suggesting the two parties should join hands now and commit political suicide, though - perish the thought.

#BJP’s 45% vs #Trinamool’s 40.93%. ( current vote share) 1.39 crore vs 1.26 crore. ( in actual numbers) A gap of barely 12–13 lakh votes. But the outcome? A 100+ seat shift in #WestBengal Now put one more number on the table: 91 lakh names deleted from the rolls, including 27 lakh still fighting to get back on. The numbers look simple. The story behind them isn’t. Anti-incumbency, corruption and non-development etc formed a perception, but actual story lies in the numbers. Zoom in here :

People are doomed to re-learn the lessons of history every time, which is why it tends to repeat again and again; whether it is the fascination with Vijay in TN (after the AAP surge and disaster in Punjab) or India becoming a one-party state. Re-emphasizing. Just like everyone other uni-party environment in history has led to growth and development, the same shall happen this time too. Ofcourse some people will say, this time it's different. Ask the market participants on how that one goes.

Welcome to the One party country. Just like every other time in India's history and global history a Uni-party state has led to development and freedom, this time too the same will happen. As you sow, so shall you reap.

@Backhand_Slice_ You need to give the management enough confidence to play him. [I think he is a very good test player, but dont think they know what to do with him in T20s].

31-year-old Kyle Jamieson giving a 15-year-old kid a send off after dismissing him. Does not make for a pretty sight. But also shows how much of an impact and fear Vaibhav has instilled amongst the opponents already. #IPL2026

One of these men demanded Kohinoor diamond back for India. Said he won’t hesitate to ask King Charles for it. Other guy’s Govt told the Court in 2016 that kohinoor was legally acquired by the British from Punjab’s King. This betrayal even shocked pro-India British scholars.

Maybe, just maybe, dont brag and threaten about bombing them every single day and actually enforce the ceasefire that Israel breaks on a daily basis. Maybe bring Netanyahu to heel rather than behave like his spokespersons (and I am being civil here). Maybe behave like someone who wants a deal and not submission. I know it's hard for Americans

@RKelanic What's your alternative to a blockade if you want to bring Iran to the negotiating table in good faith?

With its ill-conceived Iran blockade, the Trump administration has forgotten a major lesson of the Cold War: spontaneous market adjustment beats central planning every time. There’s something very Soviet in Trump’s assumptions that economic activity is static and manageable. Trump’s plan: Blockade ➡️ Iran can’t export ➡️ Iran shuts in oil ➡️ cartoonish “explosion” ➡️Iran gives up. Every arrow is a place where the market can and will adapt to find creative solutions, albeit helped along by Iran’s policies, which could amplify — or dampen — adjustment depending how competent Iran’s bureaucrats are. But the number one rule of public policy is that people and markets always strategically adapt — always — to get around policy levers. In that sense, Trump’s model isn’t strategic in a game-theoretic sense because it doesn’t account for Iran’s likely attempts to compensate.

Serious allegation 👇🏻
All India Trinamool Congress@AITCofficial

❗️ALARMING❗️ This is the murder of democracy in broad daylight. CCTV footage has exposed how @BJP4India, in active collusion with the @ECISVEEP, is opening ballot boxes without the presence of any relevant party stakeholders. This is gross electoral fraud being committed openly with the full knowledge and protection of the Election Commission. They have tried every dirty trick, name deletion, voter intimidation, Central Force terror, cash flooding, and failed miserably. Now, in sheer desperation, they have stooped to tampering with EVMs. But Bengal is not Maharashtra, Delhi, or Bihar. We will not sit silently and watch them loot our democracy. Our leaders Smt. @DrShashiPanja and Shri @KunalGhoshAgain have already begun a dharna outside Netaji Indoor Stadium. Smt. @MamataOfficial will personally visit the spot and take stock of the situation. The people of Bengal are watching this daylight robbery. We will not allow the Delhi Zamindars and their puppet Election Commission to steal the mandate of the people.
