Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson was rushed away Tuesday night after a news conference at Yesler Community Center after gunfire rang out, per Seattle Times.
No injuries were reported and it remains unclear if it was connected to the conference.

The ballroom is for State Events where the President and Cabinet, and everyone else will be safe. It is long over due to have a secure facility for these types of events. It's being privately funded and not costing the taxpayers anything. What is your problem with it other than President Trump is doing it? It's a real shame that you are so ate up with TDS that you think the ballroom is a bad idea and not necessary.

Although we don’t yet have the details about the motives behind last night's shooting at the White House Correspondents Dinner, it’s incumbent upon all us to reject the idea that violence has any place in our democracy. It’s also a sobering reminder of the courage and sacrifice that U.S. Secret Service Agents show every day. I’m grateful to them – and thankful that the agent who was shot is going to be okay.
