@Theguywith1t @getinglouderig Yeah exactly attention is nice but pursuing the shallow stuff isn't worth it when I could dedicate my time to one person and know they actually care lol. I mean I haven't found that person yet but I'm not gonna waste time with a bunch of people in the meantime.

@ShinytasticRuby @getinglouderig They waste their social energy everywhere and then have none of it left to cultivate a real relationship. Getting a bunch of attention from a bunch of people at the same time feels good enough to be addicting, but you really can’t build intimacy with one person doing that.

Part of it is that very few girls are truly single nowadays, many of them have rosters of men and “situationships”

I’ve noticed women aren’t trying to set up their single female friends up either. Across the board it’s much less of a thing than it used to be for some reason. I’ve heard varying reasons but none are really that believable

@ShinytasticRuby @geysergod_ @williamliang It’s not retainable. There is too much busy work. Most of his classmates are utilizing AI heavily. There are a few that are taking the AI stuff to it’s absolute limits by completing almost all their assignments with only AI LOL

@ElilHeylil I couldn't disagree more. I had a wonderful time talking with people in Senegal. They were very friendly and we had great conversations about faith and language and stuff. :) I considered it a great benefit to engage in fellowship with believers in another country.

@geysergod_ @williamliang I mean I think that they study a lot of interesting things at this school like different philosophers and thinkers (ex Machievelli and Aristotle) that are great to know but honestly with the amount of pressure put on students I don't know how much of this stuff is even retained.

@geysergod_ @williamliang They test you constantly, assign so much work it's impossible to fully absorb all the material and retain stuff, and some teachers are not even good at giving feedback for what you do wrong they just give you a bad grade. I love a challenge but come on.
