@earlyvotedata The thing is that a “Cornyn +5%” precinct is in reality a Cornyn 45%, Paxton 40%, Hunt 15% precinct. Hunt voters breaking for Paxton will still even those precincts out.

I would expect Paxton voters to make up for any deficits on Tuesday.

I had my car broken into in Geldrop, Netherlands. Apparently it's very common. I filled out a police report. When I told the cop I had no insurance, he looked at me funny. They had no intention of investigating. Fortunately they left 7 marks in my glove compartment or I would've run out of gas coming home.

I've had my car broken into twice. Both times I just took the L and didn’t call the cops. This is why official crime stats are bullshit. Way more crime happening than they admit.

@Alt_Azn I've never had my car broken into but I had a $25 package stolen from my porch and I reported it and testified to a Grand Jury about it.

@ShinytasticRuby @geysergod_ @williamliang It’s not retainable. There is too much busy work. Most of his classmates are utilizing AI heavily. There are a few that are taking the AI stuff to it’s absolute limits by completing almost all their assignments with only AI LOL

@geysergod_ @williamliang I mean I think that they study a lot of interesting things at this school like different philosophers and thinkers (ex Machievelli and Aristotle) that are great to know but honestly with the amount of pressure put on students I don't know how much of this stuff is even retained.

Yesterday, the Austin City Council passed several renewable energy contracts that will add 400MW of carbon-free power to our energy generation portfolio. Austin Energy has one of the highest carbon-free portfolios in the nation. It’s something we’re proud of. We’re also making sure the energy we generate is reliable and affordable— especially during emergency weather and long-duration events. That’s why we approved adding more efficient, natural gas-powered peakers to our portfolio. This helps us displace the less efficient, Nixon-era peakers our portfolio already uses. These peakers will use half the fuel and produce half the emissions and have guardrails to those emissions. They are our insurance policy when we have extreme weather that our batteries and other resources can’t cover. Our most vulnerable residents rely on us during emergency events. We’ve heard that time after time, including yesterday. While noone wants to be shivering in the cold or without power on a very hot summer day, some people's lives depend on us providing predictable and reliable power. It’s our responsibility as the Austin Energy board to do everything we can to make sure our residents— especially our most vulnerable— have uninterrupted power. We’re doing that, and we’re doing it responsibility and sustainably.
