@nettermike @SteveHiltonx The future of California if voters keep checking the party line boxes. Unless voters wake up and stop handing Gov Newsom and his supermajority unchecked power year after year, don't act shocked when Sacramento takes more & more from you with almost every bill they try to pass.

๐Ÿšจ WOW. California governor candidate Steve Hilton (R) @SteveHiltonx exposes that Gavin Newsom and Democrats shoved a $1,350 PER MONTH CHARGE for 20 years on every new single family home into a bill "They snuck it into the bill that was supposed to SOLVE their housing crisis!" "Vehicle Miles Travelled, and it's yet another sneaky, stealthy way that the Democrats in charge of California want to gouge you for the crime of driving your car." "They're trying to punish single-family homes. They want to stop single-family homes from being built, and so they're going to put this charge on it, VMT, because if you build a new home, people are going to drive to their new home. That's vehicle miles travelled." "They are trying to sneak in a charge, wait for it, of $1,350 per month for 20 years on every new single-family home. And this is in the bill, AB130, that Gavin Newsom said would solve the housing crisis. They don't want to solve the housing crisis." California needs to wake up and vote red for once!

@RepVinceFong The real gouging may have came from Newsom & the Democrat supermajority, but the bigger problem isnโ€™t them โ€” itโ€™s voters who keep handing them unchecked power year after year, then act shocked when Sacramento takes more & more from taxpayers every time you fill up your tank.

For years, Gavin Newsom and Sacramento Democrats blamed everyone but themselves for Californiaโ€™s sky-high gas prices. Now, another report confirms what weโ€™ve known all along: these prices arenโ€™t an accidentโ€”theyโ€™re the direct result of their liberal policies, excessive regulations, and crushing taxes. Itโ€™s time for Gavin and his allies to look in the mirror.

Here is a laugh from the mainstream to Gavin @CAgovernor CBS News California refutes Gavin Newsom's hot take that gas companies are price gouging at pumps in the state. A CBS News investigation found that while California has the highest gas prices in the U.S., officials have not found evidence of illegal price gouging by oil companies. Instead, high prices are driven by a mix of state taxes, environmental regulations, costly refining requirements, and recent refinery closures, which have reduced in-state supply. As a result, California is increasingly relying on overseas fuel, making prices more volatile and vulnerable to global disruptions like conflicts in the Middle East.

For years, Sacramento blamed oil companies. Now even a @CBSSacramento investigation says: no evidence of price gouging. So whatโ€™s driving $6 gas? Policies. Taxes. Regulations. Lost refinery capacity. And real families are paying the priceโ€” $1,500โ€“$2,500 a year EXTRA just to commute from the Antelope Valley. Not theory. Reality.

Personal income tax collections crashed ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ“% in a single year. The "Big Three" revenue sources dropped ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ% (LAO). And it's getting worse. An estimated $๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐จ๐ง in billionaire wealth has left the state. Six billionaires alone โ€” including @elonmusk and Larry Ellison โ€” took roughly ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŽ% of California's aggregate billionaire wealth with them. Every dollar of capital gains they generate for the rest of their lives will now be taxed at 0% in Texas instead of 13.3% in Sacramento. Sacramento's response? This is Gavin Newsom's California. The population is fleeing. The businesses are gone. The billionaires took a trillion dollars with them. The budget is a crater built on a $165 billion fantasy. They spent $132,000 per homeless person and ended up with 30,000 ๐ฆ๐จ๐ซ๐ž of them. The trains don't exist. The lights barely stay on. And the shoplifters have more legal protection than the store owners. This isn't a resume. It's a rap sheet. And this is what Gavin Newsom is running on. This is all he has to offer. He can't point to a single crisis he inherited โ€” he ๐œ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ญ๐ž๐ them. Population loss, revenue collapse, a homeless crisis that got worse the more money he threw at it, a business exodus with no end in sight, and a budget held together with accounting gimmicks and borrowed time. The question every voter should ask: is this the model you want copied to all 50 states? Because that's the only thing he's selling.
