@Sabiha1278 Four months old is still young. I have socialized feral cats I acquired at that age. It may be possible for you to do so also, but you have to be very patient as it can take a while for them to learn to trust you.

I trapped my first feral cat in my life… And had her spay surgery on Wednesday… ❤️🎉 The clinic people said… She is about 4 months old… And I should release her the day after the surgery… 💔 But I haven’t released her outside yet… 😢 Because my heart feels very guilty… She is still very small… And she lets me pet her… 🐱🤍 That’s why this thought keeps coming to my mind… “Should I try to socialize her…?” 🥺 But she is very scared of me… She hides in every corner of the bathroom… Where we have temporarily kept her… 💔 I know… Maybe releasing her is the best decision… But just thinking about it breaks my heart… That she won’t get the safety… Warmth… And love… That an indoor cat gets… 😭🐾 I just want to make the right decision for her… ❤️ If anyone has ever had this experience… Please give advice… 🤍

Did someone here see Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope in theaters when it came out in 1977?

Putin didn't invade Ukraine because of NATO. He invaded because Ukrainians were proving democracy works. Historian and Pulitzer Prize winner Anne Applebaum puts it plainly: Putin looked at Ukraine's democratic movement and thought, "If they can do it in Ukraine, then people could do it in Russia. So I need to crush this." That's the real threat Ukraine posed. Not missiles. Not borders. A working democracy next door. Applebaum frames the war as a fault line between the democratic and autocratic worlds. Russia isn't just trying to take territory. It's trying to erase Ukraine as a nation, reduce it to a colony, and send a message to every country that the post-1945 rules of Europe no longer apply. Those rules were simple: no invasions, no wars, borders don't change by force. Russia understood exactly what it was breaking when it crossed into Ukraine.

A woman in russia stands silently holding a sign saying “two words.” That is all it takes. She is immediately detained by russian police. As she is being arrested, another woman asks the person filming whether he also interviews people who support the war. Before she can say anything else, she is arrested as well. The irony is striking: even a woman who appears ready to defend pro-war views is detained without hesitation. In a system built on fear, the content of your opinion matters less than the fact that you are speaking independently. This is what “freedom of speech” looks like in today’s russia. This video is a powerful reminder that authoritarian regimes do not fear violence nearly as much as they fear words.

Prayer can be as simple as “God, I invite you into my day and to be in my presence.” I say this when I’m busy and remember to pause for a moment. Lately, it’s all I can say but it means a lot.

@straczynski Are you SERIOUS? Checking on the origin of the name is a Google search. I guess awareness of our literary giants no longer arrives in the brain via osmosis. (I give people a pass on the publishing executives tho.)

I wasn't aware this was going on, but I just got an email from Fyodor Dostoyevsky who confirmed this is a really big problem. Also mentioned he's stuck in a Miami airport without funds. Will do what I can to help out.

2 of 2) There’s a deluge of these things now, pretending not only to be from contemporary authors but dead ones as well: James Joyce, Agatha Christie etc. (And bad actors are also posing as publishing executives, btw.) Please repost to help spread the word!

I often get accused of having a “pro-Ukraine bias.” Here’s the truth. I am biased. I’m biased towards freedom, democracy, & human rights. That’s what Ukraine represents right now. When you document war crimes, you don’t pretend there are “two sides” for balance. You show what is happening. One side is the aggressor. One side is the victim. If that offends you, you’re morally bankrupt.

Zelensky just reminded JD Vance that calling Ukrainian territory a "scrap of land" isn't a negotiating position. It's an insult. With full diplomatic courtesy and zero diplomatic softness, Zelensky explained what Vance apparently doesn't know: the territory in question has 200,000 residents, strong fortifications, and sits exactly where Russia wants to build a bridgehead for its next offensive. Giving it up doesn't end the war. It stages the next one. Then the closing line: "Every square meter of our land is Ukrainian land and, with all due respect to any of our partners, it is definitely not theirs." There's no misreading that sentence.

Happy Easter! From 2000-2002 I was a missionary in Chile, serving and preaching and teaching about Jesus Christ. I want to share that time of my life with you. This was a pivotal experience for me, leaving home and family, immersing myself in a different culture, and focusing on the needs of others as a minister. Both current and former members of my faith often speak fondly of their missionary service, for one common reason: the love was real. What would you like to know about this experience or my beliefs?

I imagine this explanation seems logical to you. In the past, native names were routinely changed...by colonizers. Since then our world has become aware of how profoundly disrespectful it is for outsiders to alter a name - or an identity - to suit a taste or an agenda

From time to time I see comments like: “It’s Kiev, not Kyiv” “It’s Kievan Rus” But “Kiev” is the russian version of our city’s name. Kyiv is how we say it. How it lives in our language, our history. And every time we choose Kyiv - we choose to keep that alive. Because it’s not just a name. It’s who we are.
