Category 1: There are well known people of colour in the World that are loved, cherished, admired, supported, enjoyed and appreciated because they are hard working, decent, conscientious, people who bring joy to many, they are genuine, they are talented, they are engaging and they are likeable. Category 2: And there are some that are not liked - because they're narcissistic, egotistical, selfish, self-aggrandising, liars, full of shit & will stab you in the back for personal gain! And guess what .... there are white (also a colour) people and Asian people that fit into both the aforementioned categories (who'd have thought it) and based on their character, you either like them or you don't. People initially thought Rachel was a decent person & if our 'Prince' was happy, then so be it and good luck to them both. Thousands of people turned out in support when these 2 got married, they lined the Avenues, threw street parties & were genuinely overjoyed. However, it slowly but surely became clear that she had her own agenda and it wasn't one in support of her 'husband' and the Monarchy in general. Even though she had an abundance of Royal support (which she refused & later claimed was not true) she was determined to 'rock the boat' and assert herself as the 'second coming' - the person who would 'modernise the Monarchy' and be the Star of the Show and thought we'd all be grateful & worship her 🙄 Realising that she would never hold the Number One position and would always be in a 'support role only' (bit like her 'acting career') her narcissism could no longer be contained & the backbiting truly began. If she could not be the 'leading lady' then no-one else could either. So, off to the shallow end of the Hollyweird pond she went, dragging her latest 'stepping stone' with her, with promises of being bigger & better than a 1,000 year old 'Institution' and Mr. Mischief (jealous of his brother) fell for it hook, line & sinker. After lobbing a grenade with 'racism' etched on the side of it - off they went on their 'freedom flight' to continue their onslaught on the Monarchy .... and begun lining their pockets (because neither had the talent to create anything of substance). If she had been really talented, then HW would have knocked on her door long before she got written out of Syooots! The only half decent thing they have (or rather HE had) is the IG and that's now a wrinkled fashion show & has become less & less about REAL VICTIMS - the Veterans. And here we are today, still nothing of any real substance, still 'cashing in on Royalty' whilst simultaneously berating the Monarchy and STILL crying 'woe is me'. I despise them both equally (even Henry - a WHITE man) but the fact that I will not condone the disgusting behaviour of a 'Category 2' person who just happens to be a POC, is apparently forbidden because it is racism!?!?! It appears that Rachel (& her 'husband') can be an ar$ehole and I'm still supposed to welcome it and accept it!! Nope, never gonna happen. If you're a kind, decent & likeable character that does right by others, regardless of your skin colour, you have my support, and if you're not - then you don't! But sustained, global dislike on the scale she describes doesn’t simply appear out of nowhere, and it certainly doesn’t persist for years without cause. Reducing it all to “trolling” dismisses the very real criticisms people have raised about her behavior, inconsistencies, and repeated attempts to control public perception. More telling is the consistent refusal to engage in self-reflection. The pattern has been consistent: criticism is reframed as harassment, disagreement is labeled as hate, and accountability is sidestepped in favor of victimhood. It creates a loop where every negative reaction becomes proof of persecution rather than an opportunity for introspection. There is also a growing disconnect between the image she tries to project and how she is perceived. Carefully curated appearances, controlled interviews, and polished messaging can only go so far when they clash with what people observe over time. Audiences are not as easily managed as they once were. Patterns are noticed. Contradictions are remembered. At some point, the question shifts from “why are people reacting this way?” to “why is there such resistance to examining the role she herself plays in that reaction?” Because being widely criticized and being widely disliked are not the same as being unfairly targeted. One invites sympathy. The other invites scrutiny. If there is any path to changing that perception, it does not lie in repeating the claim of being the most trolled person in the world. It lies in something far less comfortable: taking an honest look in the mirror and asking whether the criticism is earned. Until that uncomfortable mirror-gazing happens, the narrative will remain what it feels like today: less a story of victimhood, and more one of deflection.
