@KenKirtland17 I’d bet you there was one star fall demo and a ton of starshields onboard. Thats why downrnage landing.
English

Well i was hoping to at least see payload separation… makes you wonder.
SpaceX just says it’s for research and entrepreneurs to use. I just do not think that SpaceX would develop this platform and test launch it and develop the Starship tray dispenser bus just so “others can use it if they want”
I guarantee SpaceX has a plan around this platform.

Watch Falcon 9 launch the Starfall Demo mission to orbit from Florida twitter.com/i/broadcasts/1…

@AstraPublica @NASA @NASAAdmin Originally stated, but its only outfitted with four seats... hence my question.
English

Question for @NASA and @NASAAdmin regarding the recent "shelter in place". If all five western astronauts sheltered for safety within the Crew-12 Dragon, does it imply that NASA can now return all five crew on a single Dragon? A new development since the Crew-11 emergency return?

English

@Yasin_Shafiei @AllThingsSpace3 It absolutely will not be orbital they have not demonstrated an in orbit relight. They won’t go to orbit till they do that.
English

@AllThingsSpace3 I guess flight 13 will be orbital and they’ll try to do a simulated Ship catch in the gulf.
English

@booster_10 The roll was definitely intentional so the ship faces the tower but you can see they tried to cancel the roll and ship shut down an engine mid roll cancelation. The remaking engine s thrust made the ship pitch over and splashdown off target. The should use two engines for landing
English

Watching the video now that spin was almost certainly intentional, you can see the two raptors gimbal to start it.
Booster 10@booster_10
They may want to reconsider going down to a single engine, the ship started rolling the moment they did.
English

@sintropia_acc They should be landing with two engines not one.
English

I don't know if it's a legitimate problem, but something that worries me about these landings, as happened on flight 10, is that it does a roll before landing in the water. On flight 11 they fully stabilized the ship on all axes.

Starship flip and landing burn at the end of its twelfth flight test
English

wait a minute how is it on target
Pintle@pintleinjector
not getting to see the condition of the heatshield during the landing burn is rough
English

@Yrouel86 Off-Nominal Mission Acceptable orbital insertion
Français

Right on target!
So to recap:
Successful liftoff (one engine out on ascent)
Successful hotstaging
Booster derped out
Mostly nominal orbital insertion (engine out)
Successful payload deploy
Skipped on-orbit engine relight
Successful re-entry
So mostly good especially for the first V3 test
SpaceX@SpaceX
Splashdown confirmed! Congratulations to the entire SpaceX team on the twelfth flight test of Starship!
English

@Flight2Starship Yea bro they better have run sum good numbers cause all I see is that booster buckling.
English

@kevin_deck68714 @booster_10 Chopsticks are electromagnetic. SQD arm is not.
English

@booster_10 Not the same power to move tons of tower arm.
English

Make it electromechanical, all pesky hydraulics must be eliminated.
Elon Musk@elonmusk
The hydraulic pin holding the tower arm in place did not retract. If that can be fixed tonight, there will be another launch attempt tomorrow at 5:30 CT.
English

STARSHIP FLIGHT 12: No Earlier Than May 21, 22:30 UTC / 17:30 CDT, per @SpaceX's website.

@nothingburgerfc @VikranthJonna net may 15th but they still have to roll back both vehicles to the megabays so it might slip to around 17th or 18th, depending on their pace
English

@SpoxSpace Eh if they’re in zero g they’ll just push themselves up
English

@BeegGuardian @Echo5550 @Blobifie All they gotta do is demonstrate delight capability on V3 ship and they’re good to go. I don’t think interior would be a hold up all they need to show is they can deorbit the ship which they’ve already proved on V2 and V1.
English

@SciGuySpace @DJSnM With or without S2? Would make sense to just send the core and let ESM boost.
English

@Jack_Frodo They definitely need a women and black person for DEI. Narrows the scope a bit I suppose
English

@SciGuySpace I’d air on the side of caution and launch when it’s warm yk…
