The turn against Trump by the X influencer “America First” class is actually pretty simple to explain. They built their entire personas on being the oppressed underdog. It was never about values or principle or reverence of American ideals. It was about audience capture. Which is why when we won in 2024 they had a collective identity crisis. So as there were was no core foundation other than victimhood for them to persist on, they invented some mythical betrayal and turned Trump and MAGA into their figurative oppressor.
