The FISA reauthorization debate is here. There are three things that need to be part of the conversation. 1. The Fourth Amendment is Not for Sale. Our intelligence apparatus should not be able to go around Constitutional protections by purchasing data from brokers. 2. A warrant requirement. Intelligence agencies must operate within the Constitutional protections against warrantless searches against US citizens. 3. A permanent ban on a Central Bank Digital Currency. President Trump banned a CBDC by executive order. But future administrations could reverse that and turn it into a surveillance tool against the American People. FISA was built to go after foreign threats. Let’s make sure it stays that way.
