@SarahHughes36 @RestoreBritain Again, you didn't understand my point. I can't continue the point until you actually figure it out, and I don't think I can rewrite it any simpler
English

@Stormdrain__ @RestoreBritain What the muslim want to do within their communities is no concern of mine, if the women dont learn English then thats upto them, its no concern of mine.
British law can ovride Sharia law.
English

@SarahHughes36 @RestoreBritain I don't think you understood the premise of my reply
English

@Stormdrain__ @RestoreBritain To be clear Sharia law is used by muslims within their communities by choice in cases such as divorce, however it never aspplies in criminal cases and can always be surpased by the British law. Now as it doesnt affect you at all whats the problem? Live and let live.
English

Yeah, in the same way there is no rape gangs. It's not official government policy, it's just allowed to happen - that's the point.
The home office are already on record admitting Sharia-based, unregulated, unofficial councils 'fill a need' and are 'widely used'. It's been evidenced that it's easier for Muslim men to seek full divorce than women as a result.
Even some minor crimes are dealt with through these unofficial channels, bypassing our police entirely. Internal, community-based policing.
Muslim woman, according to the Casey Report, are twice as likely to speak no english, meaning British services aren't really available to them fully, and so things like imams and councils take over and become completely insular groups, separate from greater society.
I'm not saying it's everywhere, but support for implementing it is huge among Muslims; one rule for them, another for everyone else. And we need to nip that in the bud.
English

@Stormdrain__ @RestoreBritain fyi. There is no sharia law in the uk.

@AvonandsomerRob @thejuliehigham Luckily for me my parents and grandparents all squandered all their money in various ways. The only inheritance i'll get is an email informing me they died
English

My parents did equity release which worked well for them. On my father's 67th birthday he released 33% of the property value as a lump sum. This allowed him to take my mother on various holidays as she was 5 years younger, do up the interior of the home, and have a much more secure monthly income.
I encouraged them to do this as I could comfortably afford my own home and didn't need their inheritance.
The caveat of equity release is that the home becomes owned by the bank on the death of the longest-living spouse, but they had a much better quality of life doing this.
I cannot stand children who feel entitled to cash from their parents estate.
English

If you are a couple in your 30s and 40s spending over 50% of your income paying off your mortgage, have you missed out on experiencing life at the expense of trying to own a property outright?
Over 50% of Germans rent their homes, including those on above average incomes.
They rent out of choice, not affordability.
Maybe they enjoy a better quality of life because they have more disposable cash to enjoy it?
English

@Stormdrain__ @patcondell It's remarkable that some still need to hear this. Islam isn't a race.
English

@ChristianHeiens Wrong - they are not taking the side of them. They are the Pakistani rapists. They're just on duty at that time and have their own product to get back to when they finish their shift.
English

"On one occasion, a police officer returned Fiona to the house where the abuse was occurring and told the men to "have fun with her." On another occasion, police instructed the abusers that if they could persuade Fiona to sign herself out of care, the police would stop bothering them."
The biggest takeaway from the Rape Gang Inquiry is that contrary to the expectations of some, the police have not turned a blind eye to all of this and refused to get involved.
They have, in fact, picked a side.
And that side is the Pakistani rapists themselves.

@TabloLs @RestoreBritain I don't know if you've ever cut yourself before but that's not how biology works. Unless blood can leave the brain at roughly light speed, you're talking shite
English

@Stormdrain__ @RestoreBritain The blade has to be sharp enough to instantly cut the jugular and render the animal unconscious in one clean stroke. The animal is dead before they can feel the pain of their death
English

@TabloLs @RestoreBritain You know that's just a complete lie, I'm not sure who you're trying to fool here? Kosher is the worst of all the options, objectively speaking.
English

@Stormdrain__ @RestoreBritain Kosher slaughter is not “animal cruelty”, it’s infinitely less cruel than the barbarous routine factory farm slaughters
English

@mabbsy88 Forward time travel is the norm, if you think about it. Just need to be patient!
English

@bun557093546041 @LeoKearse @gingerrtom That's not at all the same thing. Plenty of people think peanuts shouldn't be available on airplanes.
English

@bun557093546041 @LeoKearse @gingerrtom There has been no nationwide push to ban men from adopting babies that has gone frustratingly ignored time and time again.
This is just one of many, many awful things that happens across the world.
English

@elliehodges62 Sometimes it's good to recognise you've been exposed to too much of one side that you start thinking it about everything.
This has nothing to do with the innate characteristics of women. People Photoshop these versions of men into their thumbnails of videos and such constantly
English

This is so true. Honestly, making an image like that is just pure sexism and just disgusting.
The majority of my hate no longer comes from the left- it comes from Restore supporters.
Alex Phillips@ThatAlexWoman
Restore Britain "we must protect our women and girls" and "Islam is sexist" Also Restore Britain - the most repugnant, anti-women, dinosaur misogynistic movement in UK politics (Pretty sure the comments under this post will pay testament to that) Notice how they don't make memes or spread worn out tropes about right wing male journalists or politicians but are OBSESSED with attacking women with all the usual sexist crap (mental illness, accusations of affairs - lowgrade rubbish) It's basically The Manosphere / Incels4Britain. Anyway, unrattled. I won't stop speaking the truth Always have. Always will. Keep making your memes. This woman isn't perturbed
English

@rj5470557357508 @RupertLowe10 Lol that's just beyond tone deaf Jesus. "Screw these girls who have been brutally raped for decades, there are entrepreneurs who have earned loads of money and that's not fair!'
Bloody communists, so obsessed about wealth redistribution they cant even give a shit about gang rape
English

@babkingrovers @RestoreBritain A lot of raised eyebrows leftists quickly hid from themselves after hearing it!
English

@Stormdrain__ @RestoreBritain I am already signed up but if i wasnt - after seeing that clip id sign up immediately 😅 great advertising in Rupert's own words!
English

@RupertLowe10 You are extremist. You discriminate by skin tone and silence anyone who pushes back. What a moron- you may be white, but you’re not God.
Let peaceful people who build real bonds with natives live freely. Stop gaslighting everyone for your own benefit.
English

@Colonel_Keez Just please don't ruin the date by forgetting to change your cum stained t-shirt like I did once.
English

Of course you can get kicked out. If you don't pay the mortgage, your house gets repossessed. In places like the US, you still have to pay monthly for land tax even after you own outright. It's not universal. In Lots of Asia, you simply 'buy' it for 35 or 70 years, then hand it back to the government, essentially leaseholds. If you buy a flat in the UK, the value can diminish over time as that leasehold runs short - you can lose 10-20% value if it's 75 years left rather than 90.
In many countries, renting is the norm - Germany notably. It's a cultural difference, not some evil malign forces manipulating the minds of the nation against their will to be trapped renting.
Germans have very strong rights when it comes to renting, average stay is 10-15 years which is longer than the average person lives in a house in the UK. You can't just kick them out, much like the recent changes to renters rights in the UK.
As for the money aspect you seem very hooked on like it means everything, well, all I can say is that's your angle. Not everyone's. You can build more wealth by not buying a house if you are so keen on that.
My investments are already up 30% in the last 18 months, which, if I put into a house in the UK would be averaging about 1% a year, or negative in places like London.
So yeah, your perspective is your own. There are different ways of living for different people and they all have validity.
English

@Stormdrain__ @Chasura08 @rawespresso Mostly nonsense from those who want you to rent everything in your life.
With a mortgage, you pay yourself back so to speak, and you continue to save on the side while you benefit from equity. For me, it was nearly 300k in 7 years. And no one can kick me out or raise rent.
English

Owning a £400,000 house with a £350,000 mortgage in the UK in 2026 means signing a 25-year contract to give the bank around £2,050 a month, in exchange for the right to maintain a building you'll spend another £4,000 a year keeping dry, warm and structurally sound.
At a 5% fixed rate, the total interest over the life of the mortgage is around £264,000. The total mortgage cost ends up at roughly £614,000.
The price tag on the front door says £400K. The actual cost of living in it for 25 years is closer to £750K, before council tax, repairs, insurance and the new boiler.
This is what the country has been calling 'getting on the ladder.'
