With the bill to reopen government signed into law by Prez Trump, NTEP will receive $250,000 recurring (every yr) federal funding, helping its bottom line. NTEP had relied on industry for 95% of its funding ...thanks to everyone that wrote support letters and helped this effort!

At my old stomping ground kicking off fairway precision irrigation research. First of five courses across the US to get set up. Lots of sensors involved. Should be a fun and insightful project over the next few years.

@BarryBBritton @AvaVeith @TerraRadTech Haven’t analyzed the data yet, but yes, the relationship with TDR is something we will look at. The turfRad was calibrated according to the manufacturer’s recommendations prior to data collection.

@StrawTurf @AvaVeith @TerraRadTech Did you find variations in the readings comparing the TerraRad to the TDR. Was the TerraRad ground truth controlled prior to use. Thanks.

Quick visit to Kansas City to collect data with @AvaVeith at CPKC Stadium, evaluating @TerraRadTech mounting angles in a stadium scenario and comparing readings to other surface measurements.

@dustyturfman This was just a demo. Water and dye. If there was any discoloration I’d expect less.

What are you using on the goosegrass? Do you expect any more zoysia discoloration in the heat with this setup?
