Teachers asked for one line. Instead, government refused to include *their own accountability framework* in the teacher contract.
It's clear: This government has no interest in funding public education.

My 3 year old son actively calls @GuyFieri "Uncle Guy" and loves watching him almost more than Paw Patrol.

Government's story: Class size/complexity is a local issue, as per @SaskSchoolBoard
Reality: This government stripped SSBA of its power and autonomy. They have no choice but to comply with what government dictates.

@Telemiracle What a perfect for this event, "When you Believe" great job ladies!

@TechRhonda @PremierScottMoe Ridiculous size. May I ask what grade level?
English

42 - the number on my list for one of my classes. I told my students that we need to tough it out and prove we are better than them being statistically assumed to drop out eventually. I want all my kids to be successful. I wish @PremierScottMoe did too.
Address class size.
English

@GrayseWalton @PremierScottMoe It's not. I already had one student not wanting to step foot in my classroom. It is heartbreaking.
English

@TechRhonda @PremierScottMoe Every classroom I was in today was 30+ besides one which had 27… how is that sustainable for kids or teachers?

@formyeyesonly75 @SaskTeachersFed 3 things for you.
1) Many at mine are there by 7am. Some don't leave until after 5pm. The parking lot is empty b/c many are away for Extra Curr.
2) My bag may not be full, but my online hand-in is.
3) I have a better setup to grade at home. Most days until 10pm.
English

@SaskTeachersFed My front row seat tells me that 90% of the teachers in the building I’m in arrive from
8:40-8:50 & leave from 3:35-3:45. Our parking lot is empty by 4:00pm most days. Then from June 28-August 28th there’s no vehicles. Christmas , Easter, Feb break. Again no teacher vehicles.

Hey teachers: When was the last time you took a lunch break this long?
Mark Phaneuf 🇺🇦 🇨🇦@markphaneuf
I can only imagine if I put up a sign for a two and one half hour lunch break because I anticipated having visits from some of my families who weren’t happy with me or how things were going. The most important ability is availability. @STFPresident @SaskTeachersFed #ISupportSTF

@Truthse65325990 @SaskTeachersFed Gosh the bots are awful. Even pretending to be teachers...
English

@SaskTeachersFed From a teacher we are asking too much, we definitely can handle the class size and work load we have been handling it for years! And now the new crew is pissed they actually have to put in some effort to get a paycheck! Such a disgrace we are doing this stuff! I'm going to work!!

📢 NEWS RELEASE: Government is still refusing to give their bargaining committee a new mandate to negotiate with teachers on class size and complexity, forcing teachers to engage in a second provincewide strike today.

@CraigScottNel @AdamScottWilly @ginno_rhys @ctvregina I actually plan for quite a few weeks in the summer. Some teachers renew their accreditation, some attend PD. Many teachers I know go back early in August to setup their classrooms for the year because we don't get much time for that.

I am so glad that @pennykittle and @KellyGToGo introduced the "2 page spread" idea to me. I have adapted it a bit but it is such a great way for students to express what they have read about!

English

@steve_boots I am surprised they haven't used our taxes to create another billboard about it. 😒
