@Cyber_Theosis I know that. But video games are supposed to be better than real life. It's kind of jarring when a video game character is less mobile than I am.

@Cyber_Theosis When they say tank controls are horrible, what they mean is it doesn't control like The Last of Us. RE1? Not like TLOU, therefore bad. RE4? Not like TLOU, therefore bad. GoW Ragnarok? Like TLOU, therefore good. Original GoW? Not like TLOU, therefore bad. RE4 Remake? Take a guess.

I am a bummer Lamb. Praise God! ✝️🩷🐑
The Husky@Mr_Husky1

Every once in a while, a ewe will give birth to a lamb and reject it. There are many reasons she may do this. If the lamb is returned to the ewe, the mother may even kick the poor animal away. Once a ewe rejects one of her lambs, she will never change her mind. These little lambs will hang their heads so low that it looks like something is wrong with its neck. Their spirit is broken. These lambs are called “bummer lambs.” Unless the Shepherd intervenes, that lamb will die, rejected and alone. So, do you know what the Shepherd does? He takes that rejected little one into His home, hand-feeds it and keeps it warm by the fire. He will wrap it up with blankets and hold it to His chest so the bummer can hear His heartbeat. Once the lamb is strong enough, the Shepherd will place it back in the field with the rest of the flock. But that sheep never forgets how the Shepherd cared for him when his mother rejected him. When the Shepherd calls for the flock, guess who runs to Him first? That is right, the bummer sheep. He knows His voice intimately. It is not that the bummer lamb is loved more, it just knows intimately the One who loves it and has experienced that love one on one. So many of us are bummer lambs, rejected and broken. But He is the good Shepherd. He cares for our every need and holds us close to His heart so we can hear His heartbeat. I am a bummer lamb adopted and loved by The Good Shepherd!! Hallelujah!!

@IsaiahToth_Dev You want to know more or less how long the line is, if it plays correctly when it's supposed to, if it's not swapped with another line, etc

What is the reason for “placeholder voice acting”?? Unless you are voicing characters your self so that the actual voice actors understand the tone, isn’t the text in a video game the “placeholder” for voice acting?
Bright Sunshine ☀️@KindaSortaMaebe

the same goes for “placeholder” voice acting. you want shitty microsoft robot voice as a placeholder voice line so it’s super obvious that it needs replacing. using ai for placeholder is a recipe for mistakes on a huge multi year project. any dev sees right through this PR lie.

While it’s quite a controversial topic, we believe that tank controls add to the intensity of the gameplay experience that defines the whole Resident Evil series. We specifically kept them when reviving the original RE trilogy on our platform and adding it to the GOG Preservation Program, as we see them as part of the original experience and a necessary “friction” that ultimately adds to the masterpiece status of these classic titles. And what’s your take? ;)
Last Chalice@lastchalice

Tank controls are easy. They can be understood by anyone willing to give them 20 minutes.

@mask_bastard Caesar not having a successor is literally established in New Vegas, and not just by some obscure fictional text or anything like that either; Lanius taking over happens in-game if he dies and makes the Legion ending even worse if it's from failing Caesar's surgery.

@MorrowindRapist @RazorwireRPG I recommend it, with a note that as an older title, the controls are probably not what you'll be used to, but once you play for some time, they'll be second nature. There is a story and I'd say it's a damn good one. Not cutscene heavy, but atmospheric as all hell.

"Chosen one" roleplaying games are so incredibly boring and I really wish we made a return to playing everyday plebs who build legends. I've never enjoyed playing as some destined hero, chosen by fate to save the kingdom or universe. In fact, I think the beauty of starting as a nobody, building your rep and then finding your crew is one of the best things about RPG's. Probably the reason I love the OG Fallout games and New Vegas, because despite having a background - you're still just some guy. I also love the idea of being someone who wanders town to town, growing your skills and unravelling the main story. I think Morrowind and Oblivion does this well, primarily because of the different guilds and houses. I guess what I'm saying is that I value games that are actual RPG's and not banal ego boosting "pick me" games.

@RazorwireRPG Gothic is still the king of such games. You start as the absolute nobody who can't even hold a sword properly and become the most powerful being in the game world.

'The Mystery of the Druids' released on this day in 2001. A point-and-click title best known for its infamous box art, and for the detached manner of its psychopathic protagonist. Rife with bugs and "moon logic" puzzle solutions. A truly baffling adventure from beginning to end.
