After U.S. forces turned China’s most advanced anti-stealth radar—the JY-27A—into little more than lawn art, Xi reportedly ordered the execution of its chief designer, Yang Wei. Engineering with Chinese characteristics…
Taiwan Military@TaiwanMilitary

Reportedly, Yang was probed after 🇨🇳’s JY-series anti-stealth radars sold to 🇻🇪 & 🇮🇷 proved ineffective. 🇨🇳 had used the J-20 as a test target & falsely told Xi the radars could detect 🇺🇸 F-35 & F-22 stealth jets. This raised doubts about the J-20’s claimed stealth capabilities.

The Pentagon is preparing for weeks of ground operations in Iran, U.S. officials tell the Washington Post, as thousands of American soldiers and Marines arrive in the Middle East for what could become a dangerous new phase of the Iran War, exposing U.S. personnel to an array of threats, including Iranian drones and missiles, ground fire and improvised explosive, should the decision to escalate by made by President Donald J. Trump. Any potential ground operation would fall short of a full-scale invasion and could instead involve raids by a mixture of Special Operations forces and conventional infantry troops, said the officials. Options include the possible seizure of Kharg Island, a key Iranian oil export hub in the Persian Gulf, and raids into other coastal areas near the Strait of Hormuz to find and destroy weapons that can target commercial and military shipping, with one official setting the potential timeline at “a couple of months.”

Did you know that the Cubans shot down and killed an American pilot in 1962? Because our enemies could shoot down the U2, we had to have an SR 71 who proved over and over again that it could not be shot down. We need to remember Rudy Anderson. Also flying these missions was Major Buddy Brown who later flew the SR 71. Major Rudolf Anderson Jr. was the only combat casualty during the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis, killed on October 27 when his U-2 spy plane was shot down over Cuba by Soviet-supplied missiles. As a seasoned U-2 pilot, his reconnaissance mission provided vital intel, but his death escalated tensions near the brink of nuclear war.   Key Details About Major Anderson's Death: •The Mission: On October 27, 1962—known as "Black Saturday"—Major Anderson was flying a U-2F Dragon Lady from McCoy Air Force Base, Florida, on a reconnaissance mission over Banes, Cuba. •The Incident: Soviet personnel in Cuba fired two S-75 Dvina (SA-2) surface-to-air missiles, one of which exploded near his plane, killing him instantly. •Impact on the Crisis: His death brought the U.S. and Soviet Union closer to war, but it also prompted U.S. leaders to stop fighting and start negotiations to end the crisis. •Awards: He was the first recipient of the Air Force Cross, awarded posthumously for his bravery.  Major Anderson's death was a turning point, as it caused both sides to realize they were nearing an uncontrollable conflict, resulting in the start of secret negotiations immediately afterward.

@Peter104572 @Andy_Lake_ @Virlylestarina I'm trying, I really am, but they're such ball-busters. They're clinging to their precious shale roofs like I'm a salesman that's peddling shingles. All I did was ask a question.

@RealScottLamp @Virlylestarina That's why I asked. Everybody's making fun of me and calling me a clown because it's fancy stone that's been used for hundreds of years. A piece of ice at terminal velocity does a lot of damage, let alone hundreds of pieces.

@TheAuthorCSS @Virlylestarina A slate roof is pretty strong. Ours was put on when the house was built in 1890 and recently we had the slate removed, the timber checked and repaired as necessary, a membrane put on and then the same slates put back with less than 20% of replacements required.

In addition to the 850 Tomahawk Land Attack Missiles (TLAM) that have been expended, the Washington Post reports that the U.S. military has also has fired more than 1,000 of its much more advanced and limited supply of air-defense interceptor missiles in defending against retaliatory attacks by Iran. These include hundreds of interceptors fired by the U.S. Army’s MIM-104 “Patriot” Surface-to-Air Missile and Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Systems, and SM-3 Exoatmospheric Ballistic Missile Interceptors launched by Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyers with the U.S. Navy.

Since the start of Operation Epic Fury, the ongoing strike campaign against the Islamic Republic of Iran which began roughly four weeks ago on February 28, the U.S. Navy has utilized over 850 BGM-109 Tomahawk Land Attack Cruise Missiles (TLAM) on targets throughout Iran, burning through precision weapons at a rate that has alarmed some Pentagon officials, according to the Washington Post. Prior to the start of the Iran War, it was assessed by the American Enterprise Institute that the Navy had an inventory of between 4,000-4,500 Tomahawks, with only a few hundred being produced every year, while other naval analysts have said the number could be much lower, perhaps closer to 3,000, following their extensive use in recent operations, including the Trump Administration’s strikes last year in Iran, Yemen and Nigeria.

BREAKING: US intelligence has determined that just ~33% of Iran's missile arsenal has been destroyed as the Iran War nears its 1-month mark, per Reuters. Details include: 1. The intelligence assessment shows Iran still has "significant missile inventory" 2. The status of around another third is less clear but bombings likely "damaged, destroyed, or buried" those missiles in underground tunnels and bunkers 3. Sources say US intelligence was similar for Iran's drone capability 4. Iran is expected to recover some buried or ‌damaged missiles once fighting stops Tomorrow is the 1-month mark of the war.

A failed bombing at MacDill Air Force Base has led to charges against siblings Alen and Ann Mary Zheng. Alen allegedly planted an IED near the base on March 10 and later called 911, but the device was only found 6 days later and did not detonate. Investigators say it was capable of causing serious harm. He fled to China on March 12 after selling his car, while Ann Mary was arrested in Detroit on March 17 after returning to the U.S. She is accused of helping him escape and covering up evidence. Authorities found bomb-making materials at their home and explosive residue in the vehicle. Their mother is in ICE custody. Alen faces up to 40 years. Ann Mary faces up to 30 years.
