Just found my old $DCR wallet that I haven't touched since 2020, actually about 5 years ago. I remember buying this one a lot all throughout 2019/2020. I threw several $BTC into DCR and kept buying bc I liked the 'fundamentals' Fast forward to today and it's worth 10k. Not bad to find this $ on a random wallet

@WeaverCarp @twojewoda The system is opt-in to maintain suitability, but it's tightly integrated with staking, over 63% of the circulating supply is mixed and unspent. Average daily mixing participation is 450k DCR. Mixes are coordinated in a decentralised manner, only fees are for miners.

Just found out that $DCR, Decred has implemented privacy through mixers. Same supply economics as $ZEC, though instead of mining they rely on staking. I am adding it to my must research list.

This is the problem! People talk a lot of nonsense or theoretical waffle without trying a product for themselves. Try it and then you can be a critic and give good personal feedback based on experience. Be part of the solution, use the products and evolve the space.

Over $40,000 buys in the last 24hrs on @BisonWallet I wonder why this isn't pushing up the price at all? Arbitrage bots are feeding the liquidity from Binance. Remember, ~70% of Decred is locked between staking and the treasury. Maybe someone knows something we don't?

But in a low-trust society, it probably won’t matter. Only the “suckers” play by the rules, act ethically, or seek the common good. Slowly but surely, corruption spreads, and everyone becomes complicit. This is something you can’t fully understand unless you’ve lived in a low-trust society, where every action is potentially criminal, and survival often means breaking laws that have become arbitrary tools of political tyrants and demagogues. That’s where this is headed. And Trump didn’t cause it—he’s simply a natural product of this environment, a survivor of social Darwinian selection.

Didn't say anything about holding, specifically - but that would really depend on whether you see value in what differentiates Decred from XMR and ZEC. IMHO, from the purely practical point-of-view, DCR paired with Bison Wallet can act as a privacy preserving layer to plausibly unlink CEX accounts from your spending in a trustless and non-custodial manner. Somewhat obvious, but don't shoot yourself in the foot by swapping out the whole amounts and joining all UTXOs to do a single swap/spend.
