@Duderichy 560 watts is insane. I DIYed this with a 65W (650W equiv) corn bulb for like $60 and it does the job just fine. Mine’s already so bright I can’t look at it, can’t imagine what this does to the eyes.

This idea that men are shutting down actually doesn’t parse with my in real life experience with men… younger men—like men in their early-mid 30s—actually seem much more open and interested in women as people. They listen, ask questions, etc. it’s the older men who seem to have become bitter and resentful—and somehow never learned conversation skills, talk at you rather than asking questions etc. The terminally online Gen Zs are checked out because they live online, not in real life, but in general I’ve found the 30-something men very pleasant and open.
