Honestly if they hit 500 mile range in a truck or SUV that can tow 10k plus then it's perfect. I understand very well that my 270 mi range MYP is more than enough for my lifestyle for 95% of the time, but that 5% that it doesn't work completely kills any potential cost savings as I'd need to rent another vehicle for specific things. It's not impossible to do, it would just likely be expensive, but people will pay. I didn't not buy a Cybertruck because it was more than they initially said it would be, I didn't buy it because the range isn't enough so no sense in upgrading (and no bench seat in the front haha, but that's another issue)

@cybrtrkguy Right there with ya man. So many people pander saying you don’t need more range. When you use a truck as a truck and not just a large SUV range is critical. 400mi highway range is about perfect.

> Left home with 92% > Drove 233 miles > Required charge of 38 minutes in the middle of the trip. > Not towing I need more range. There is no other option. That is ridiculous.

Absolutely, what happened to the 500+mi trim!? If they were actually able to deliver that, I would have bought one, all other issues aside. But essentially the only tow vehicle option at the moment in the EV space is the R1T, but who wants to deal with worse software and no FSD...

Definitely funny, but we went on a 9k mile road trip in 2021 and we were fine. A couple points where I would have appreciated a supercharger but no issues at all. Even got some free charging at some of the hotels we stayed at, and charged for "free" at some friends' places too. And this was 4.5 years ago, and we didn't even have the nema 14-50 adapter, only the regular 110v.

@KeyOn_M6 @greggertruck Starting "around" 😆 "Around" pretty rarely means at or less than when it comes to pricing.

@Beyond_Scarcity @SawyerMerritt I also would love this, but they're just going to sell the Model Y L and skip this category it seems. Disappointing for sure. I'd love to see a full sized SUV that had a tow rating over 10k lbs.

What was the marketing language/details on the sales contract for their car? Because I'd bet you a dollar that Tesla won't be legally obligated to upgrade their car without a significant out of pocket expense. The only reason that Tesla will do that on our older HW3 cars is because they literally told us that it would be capable in the marketing material and sold us an FSD license. Then later said oops we don't think that's going to be the case. And will they want the added liability of older cars that needed hardware retrofits, or will they just end up offering some Frankensteined deal with an FSD transfer and some big credit for a new vehicle. Or maybe even some cash buy out because they're essentially failing to perform on a contract. Based on your other replies, just to get ahead of it, I'm not being negative I'm being realistic. I'm not some Tesla hater, I'm an owner, both of the product and the stock. And as someone who is familiar with FSD on HW3, I'll say I don't think that if someone isn't capable of safely operating their vehicle, that them using FSD in its current HW3 state doesn't make me feel safer driving near that person...

@SpaceCraig1 @Tesla Don’t be a drama queen … Tesla has aid they will make HW3 cars able to drive unsupervised and I do believe they will. It’s easy being negative, but it’s not something I subscribe to

Another first time @Tesla purchase, this time by my friends Bob & Joyce today … a 2022 Model 3 from the San Antonio Tesla sales center. FSD (self-driving) was a major factor but they could not afford a brand new car so this was a great option. The self-driving capabilities even a HW3 Tesla offers gives people who are interested in extending the time of maintaining independence a great option and a good entry value into the future of autonomy! Really excited for them! 😎👍

Never say never, sure, but there's nothing that Tesla is doing now that would suggest that hw3 is going to be capable of unsupervised. When you say continue to grow in capabilities, your not talking about hw3 FSD as it has effectively stopped growing since 12.6.4 (at least on my Y), and almost every time I've discussed this the idea that there will be an FSD-lite comes up, to which I say FSD-less-safe. Because of it weren't less safe there wouldn't be a reason to not run lite on every vehicle to save resources. But Tesla continues to design and build newer hardware with significantly higher processing power because they realize that hw3 just ain't got it, and maybe even hw4, though there's a real debate to be had there.

@hri8477gj @Tesla Never is a pretty strong word … I have faith that it will continue to grow in capabilities and support. I know you can’t see that now, but I can. Be happy for them.

I’m now maxed out on referrals for the rest of the year. Time to help you guys get some Tesla referrals! Drop your referral links below and I’ll send people asking for a code to the comment section to select one. Won’t be able to help everyone, but will do what I can. For those curious, here's what people ordered using my code: • Model Ys: 6 • Cybertrucks: 3 • Model 3: 1

“This is why public school is a JOKE. And honestly… I’m concerned for the next generation of kids. A couple weeks ago, we pulled our kids out of school to take them on vacation. They’re in 3rd grade, 2nd grade, and kindergarten. We let the teachers know ahead of time. Asked for assignments so they wouldn’t fall behind. Their response? “Don’t worry about it… we’ll catch them up when they get back.” No big deal, right? Except the day we leave… the school district starts hounding us. Threatening to report us to the county if the kids miss any more days. Our kids rarely miss school. Are we seriously not allowed to take them anywhere?? Fast forward: we get back, and my son comes home with a mountain of worksheets. No explanation. No instruction. Just, “Here. Figure it out.” So he spends hours working through it over the next week. And I’m looking at this stuff thinking… what the hell is this?? Keep in mind, I’m college-educated and run multiple successful businesses. And I can’t even make sense of it. Questions like: “Sam has 155 clams. Richard gives him 137 peaches. If the cows moo while facing north, how many snow cones does he have?” What are they even learning in there? Then — a week later — his teacher messages us: “He got almost all the answers wrong. He’s now failing English.” So we reach out. Ask if he can redo the assignments. Not just for a better grade… but so he can actually learn the material. Her response? “No. He can’t redo it.” We try to work with her. Offer to compromise. Her answer? “Maybe you shouldn’t go on vacation.” I’m done, dude. Our kids are in ELEMENTARY school. And this is already the circus we’re dealing with. I don’t want to homeschool. I never thought I’d even consider it. But the way this system is run? It’s starting to look like the better option. So here’s my honest question: What are we supposed to do? Because if this is the best public education can offer… No wonder kids are falling behind.” ~Mike Wingard

WOAH 🚨 Nick Shirley exposes there are 1,200 medical transport companies in Minnesota. For a year, photos with timestamps were taken of the vans that are supposed to be used by these companies NONE MOVED IN A YEAR. They sit parked, but are getting paid to transport patients “I have been to many of these transportation companies and I've been time stamping my photographs for a whole year at one facility in Minneapolis and those vans in that parking lot had not moved one inch in an entire year. They're all still sitting there” “So when you think about it, you have with the transportation companies, you have the adult care centers. So are they working hand in hand together to then say we're getting the services from them adult daycare centers to then transport them to their appointments” (and it’s ALL FRAUD)
