@SawyerMerritt For everyone saying it will do well doubling as a golf cart, I am sceptical that courses will allow them. Maybe they will, but I wouldn't go buying it until that's confirmed one way or the other.

Right but the reference point you used for the phone doesn't apply was my point. Because it doesn't really matter what the price is relative to an iPhone when an iPhone is "free" for most people. A better point would have been something like how people pay $1200 for a robot vacuum. And this does X times the amount of work. But with that said, I wonder if it does in fact have the ability to vacuum.

@ThinkTankExile @SewersOfSociety @weaverobotics I didn't say it was equivalent, but the point is that the price is not so insane that people will shy away from this, especially if they're "influencers." the robot has the same monthly payment model that cell providers coerce iphone users into, just pricier for a pricier item.

@terryaidev @tesla_na Just more coverage to make the rear quarter panel look more appropriately sized relative to the two doors. It would probably look way too long without that extended "lip"

@SewersOfSociety @weaverobotics honestly when I saw the price I was a bit shocked... people are paying 30-40% of that for their iphones. and it's important to remember the prices of PC's in the 80's...

@weaverobotics $450/month for a robot that never calls in sick, never asks for a raise, and never breaks a wine glass. A human housekeeper costs $2,000+/month and takes weekends off. People are comparing the wrong numbers.

@truthandtesla That’s how it always should’ve been. Kinda sneaky to sell it separately to make the car seem cheaper. Same sneaky shit with the S Plaid. Oh it can go 200 mph!!! But only if you buy the $20k track package that we’re not including so that the car seems cheaper.

Imho a tesla should be priced to include the FSD. You shouldn’t be able to buy one without it.

They already demonstrated the robot arm they build for cleaning. That's one of the reasons the interior is designed the way it is. Regardless, if they have to drive to dedicated cleaning centers designed specifically to service Robotaxis, it will be more streamlined than the way taxis and Ubers are maintained currently.

If you mash your foot on the accelerator pedal, the car will accelerate, whether you're driving a Tesla or any other car brand. In this case, the driver kept the accelerator pressed even after the crash. It's very clear that the issue isn't Tesla or FSD - it's human drivers. Humans are not good drivers, but robots are, as evidenced by the safety data from both Tesla and Waymo. The solution is obvious: If you take away the steering wheel and pedals and let the robots drive, crashes caused by human error - like driving into a house after overriding the system - simply won't happen. There has never been a documented case of a robotaxi driving itself into a house, ever.

@Chri38354 @santracrade @Rainmaker1973 Our eyes work the tasks at hand we do. Other animals have better eye sight than us for the tasks they do. One example would be cats, their sight isn't great up close but it's superior at longer distances for track prey and they can see much better in the dark for hunting.

The human eye is one of the most complex organs in the body. Working together with the brain, it can rapidly adjust to changing light, detect motion, distinguish millions of colors, and process an enormous amount of visual information every second. Light enters through the cornea and pupil before being focused by the lens. It then passes through the vitreous humor and reaches the retina, where specialized cells convert light into electrical signals. Those signals travel through the optic nerve to the brain, which transforms them into the images you see every day. Despite centuries of advances in photography and imaging technology, the human visual system remains an extraordinary example of biological engineering.

@Rainmaker1973 Honestly, there's nothing like it! When you see the brain, and the way the eyes are connected to it, it's incredible! Whether you believe in God or not, it's one of the best designs of the human body! 👀

It's wild that you watch corporate elites and the head of the federal government put on a fuckin circus show, that is the epitome of hollow patriotic theater and act like criticism of that event isn't classic rock and roll. Topped off with some disgusting racism which I'm sure you would argue is classic rock and roll behavior too 🙄

She didn't attack the government; she attacked a rowdy populist sporting spectacle that she felt was "beneath the dignity" of the institution. She's actively defending the state. That's the exact opposite of a rebel stance. She demands compliance, scolds the public, and insists that everyone return to a sanitized, polite status quo approved by the corporate elite. That isn't rebellion; that is literally acting as the HR department for the establishment. 😂

Sheryl Crow speaks out after Trump’s UFC 250 event: “To stay quiet means to turn a blind eye. And so I am saying this. What happened last night on the lawn of the White House was disgraceful and void of decency. Powerful, rich people filled the lawn to watch a violent sport that ended with a vile and racist comment. All while the average American cannot afford healthcare, gas, and cost of living. Do not be fooled. This administration is corrupt and does not give a damn about the American people. It only cares about making money hand over fist at the expense and in spite of our democracy. If we continue to support this kind of distraction from reality, we are no better than them. Let's be better, America.”

Lmao, Sheryl Crow demanding everyone “Turn it down!” now. 🤣 Rock used to be about thumbing your nose at elites, breaking rules, and raw chaos. Now these private-jet celebrities issue public demerits for bad mic etiquette at an American freedom celebration. Their rebellion died once the checks cleared.

@Paddy_film @mischamartijn Ah yes! You mean v14 Less Safe... If v14 Lite were to be as safe as FSD unsupervised needs to be, then all the cars would run a more efficient, lower parameter v14 lite once it was rolled out, which isn't the plan, which means it will be less safe.

Tesla is about to face its first FSD mass claim in Europe. Here’s why: Tesla launched FSD in Belgium yesterday. That’s five European countries in two months. Guess how many HW3 cars in the EU got FSD. Zero. Seven years ago Tesla sold me Full Self-Driving with one promise: the hardware in your car is all you’ll ever need. Now the software exists, drives on my street, and my car is excluded. Along with millions of others worldwide. Two months ago I started HW3 Claim with 36 signups. Today: 6,600+ HW3 owners in 39 countries stand with me. Every new FSD country proves our case. The product works. Tesla just never delivered it to the people who paid first. Next step: a formal mass claim. The pieces are falling into place faster than I could ever imagine. HW3 owner? Join us on hw3claim.nl, even if you didn’t buy FSD.

Yeah, but that wasn't your point, or the point of my response haha. But regardles, HW3 owners who paid for FSD are currently SOL. I can't see them retrofitting, but also the "trade-in premium" that would be required for me to justify buying a new HWX vehicle (X being whatever final version can achieve unsupervised with Tesla taking legal/financial liability for the performance) will have to be massive. So I'm very curious what they'll actually do, and when they actually plan on making things right for HW3 owners.

Owning FSD outright on your Tesla is going to make so much more sense once FSD Unsupervised is released. Subscriptions could then rise from $99 to $299 monthly.
