I am going to be a bit lengthy here but here goes:
TMP is my favorite because it is all Treek and nothing added for dramatics
I never was a fan of the "new theme" because of the obvious reasons. Persis Khambata was excellent, the rest of the crew were great as usual, and they knew their pars well. Stephen Collins was great.
Wrath of Khan: It was exciting, Again the crew knew how to put everything together, the trio Kirk, Spock and McCoy , great as always. Ricardo Montelban, what can I say? He was excellent in the role as a madman. the storyline was well done
Not a fan of the new music... could have been better
Who didn't cry when Spock died?
Search for Spock: Done well. Chris Lloyd and I saw Jim Ignatowski... He is excellent. Shatner I had sympathy with, because of his father passing. The storyline was great in continuance, and Robin Curtis was perfect, although I had an affinity for Kirsty Alley
The Whale Show, "There be whales heah!"
Really, whales??? I was glad to see Chekov and Uhura finally had something to do. I liked Cathy Hicks, she acts really well. I can dig the script and the directing by Nimoy, but when I saw it in the theater when it came out, my brother-in law and I were like... REALLY???? Whales???
Perhaps but a whole movie about it?
Transparent aluminum.... that was a good one... I would have thought they would have done something like Tritanium.. but the atomic weight is immense
I did like the scene where the Bird of Prey de-cloaked over the whaler... the theater did applaud
I was really getting upset because the music kept changing...
The Final Frontier... a good premise, but it was executed poorly. I was embarrassed to finish watching it. No.. really Sybock??? I did buy it
Uhura was great, the comedy was good, Jimmy Doohan was above par and I laughed when he hit his head
The secret ingredient was a great add
No I also didnt buy that old Kirk was fricken rock climbing on a sheer face without a five mile long attached from the top... nope... it was ludicrous.
I also didn't buy the God story arc.
It was a waste of money
The Undiscovered Country, otherwise known as Kirk's last piece of tail Shatner in his 50s....
Well done storyline, excellent acting from the giants in movies... "Cry Havoc! And let slip the dogs of war!"
Finally, good Klingon work done well. Sulu, well done as Captain, of the Excelsior
I choked up when I watched the signatures at the end
Generations: The Nexus? Hmm it was an interesting concept, and I got the idea... Kirk on the horse was good. Picard, was good too
I give Stewart some props for acting better than TNG... Im not one of his fans
I gave Frakes a bit more props, he was better than TNG also, and Im glad it wasnt a Data movie
As usual LaForge did his techno thng, Troi was her usual useless self, and Crusher the same.. they filled their roles like usual... I will talk more about them in the next paragraph
Veridian 3... I though ot blue green... "Beetljuce"
First Contact: The best of all the TNG movies, the storyline was great, the elimination of the Borg in the Alpha quadrant
The whole cast did very well, including Dwight Schultz
I was glad to see the EMH Mark 1
James Cromwell is always good to see, I like him
Troi and Crusher had things to do for once and that was good. they really are good actors. Sirtis and McFadden
I was glad it didn't turn into a Data LaForge show
Frakes was good.
sigh... now onto the rest of the story
Insurrection: I looked at this as Star Wars on the planet of old/young people
I thought it was a cutie pie storyline, Data saves the day, I liked Worf, was great acting!
Donna Murphy, holy moly... She was great acting, and easy on the eyes. Finally a hot chick in a leading role
Just like TNG, convenient technobabble getting the whole story wrapped up in less than ten minutes
Grrrrrrrrrrrr I hate this....
Nemesis: Otherwise known as the complete waste of money
the drama was too sanitised, and this was Picard back into his Blowhard Baldy days on TNG
I did like Frakes hand to hand combat going on, (aka Star Wars TOS like ) Im not sanguine with the Remus shit...
I loved Dina Meyer, always have
I didnt like the clone thing... Maybe but ... the drama acting was less than good, I didn't buy the Data B4 issue
Oh and another Data/B4 comes back in Picard season 3????
Give me a break Alice!
That's what I expected from TNG writing... really outlandis dumbfuckery
I think Star Trek TNG movies needed three people
1. Tasha
2. Someone like Summer Glau
3. More of Dina Meyer
