@rachaeldickzen No, it's not weird. When I was in gov't (different capacity, but still), I loved requests because it shows that some stakeholder cared about [thing] to justify time creating the fact sheet or whatever. The historian does exhibits anyway, has to select the subj. matter somehow.

It would be weird for me to reach out to the USPTO's on-staff historian to try to persuade him to do an exhibition on clothing irons and iron patents, right? "There is a great future in clothing irons. Think about it. Will you think about it?"
