@PompeyNev It’s a dilemma. I don’t want to ever experience a season like last year again, but at the same time, I want to see us winning matches. You’re right that Tonda was under pressure coming into Sheff Utd at home and then Portsmouth away after that run of 7. Such is the way these days

@Toothy73 Yeah. But be careful - you don't want to return to that league, do you? Seriously, it should serve as a reminder to many of your fans (ours are just as bad) not to judge a player, manager or team on a handful of games. If most of them had had their way it wouldn't have happened.

The stats of that game might suggest we were lucky to get a win, but the reality is we created all the clearest chances. Our defensive discipline was excellent and we looked sharp on the counter. So much admiration for what Tonda has done since taking over. #Saintsfc

@Toothy73 Absolutely fair - and that’s the way the cookie crumbles. Couldn’t hear the whistle at the time tho, which added to the confusion - and have seen far more egregious ball rolls let go!

I also don’t want to hear any of the old refereeing excuses. Should that goal in the first half have stood? Probably. But also if Saints could finish we would have been three, four behind. Second best to almost everything all day.

@saintmattc I think the fans really rose to the occasion today, as did the players. We started the game so well and that set the tone.

@_ScottWinter_ Larin has his moments, but his hold-up play today wasn’t good enough, albeit against a higher grade of opponent. Peretz is getting better and, a couple of poor kicks aside, had a great game today. The noise when that ball smacked him in the face was unreal.
