@TuyaLive
Resident Representative, UNDP Pacific @UNDP_Pacific

This morning @TuyaLive joined a high-level meeting chaired by Caretaker PM Charlot Salwai to discuss Vanuatu's recovery plan following the 7.3 magnitude earthquake of 17 Dec. As Early Recovery Cluster Chair, we’re ready to provide assistance in line with key govt priorities.

A powerful 7.3 magnitude #earthquake struck #Vanuatu on Monday, causing widespread damage and claiming lives. As essential services slowly resume in the capital, Port Vila, the road to recovery will be long and challenging. @UNDP, together with the #PacificHumanitarianTeam, is working with the people and the Government of Vanuatu to support early recovery efforts, for the affected communities to rebuild essential services and household assets. We are in shock and mourning. It is now confirmed that 29 of our colleagues in📍#Gaza have been killed since October 7. Half of these colleagues were @unrwa teachers. As an Agency, we are devastated. We are grieving with each other and with the families.
