Today, @DHSgov experts briefed Greek @migrationgovgr officials on CBP Home, a free mobile application that supports dignified self-deportation. Experts from 🇺🇸 and 🇬🇷 shared best practices for countering illegal immigration and strengthening law enforcement cooperation.

I commend Members of Parliament who voted in favor of implementing the historic U.S.-EU Framework Agreement on Trade. You made the right decision for citizens on both sides of the Atlantic. My European friends have asked whether the US is still committed to the US/EU trade deal. We are. In fact, we signed this agreement in August, and every day since, the United States has been in compliance with what it agreed to do under the agreement. We have yet to have a day where the Europeans are in compliance because they had a process to go through. We’ve been complying. We’re looking forward to the EU successfully getting through its process. My interview with @euronews 👇

In 1821, under the rallying cry of “Freedom or Death,” Greeks forged their path to independence. Two centuries later, the relationship between our two great nations, rooted in faith, freedom, and love of country, is vibrant and expanding. I extend my best wishes to all Greeks for a happy and prosperous Independence Day and look forward to what we will achieve together in the year to come.

The United States and Greece enjoy excellent, long-standing law enforcement cooperation that protects the citizens and communities of both our great nations. Today, I was honored to witness history being made as leading-edge U.S. technology solutions are being deployed to advance Greece's border security. The Port of Piraeus will be using a new suite of U.S. security scanners, which will ensure greater safety and transparency at the port. Congrats, Greece and Viken on this fantastic development!

At the East Macedonia and Thrace Forum, discussed with Minister @NikosDendias @Hellenic_MOD how President Trump made the impossible possible by securing the @NATO 5% GDP defense pledge. Even prior to the 2025 #NATOSummit, Greece consistently exceeded the original NATO defense spending obligations and is now making steady progress towards 5%. Their strength helps secure the peace at NATO’s Southern Flank and beyond.

Greece is a fantastic Ally with a steadfast commitment to Allied principles and priorities, including defense spending. Thanks to my friend @USAmbassadorGR, 🇺🇸–🇬🇷 security cooperation is checking off key priorities on @POTUS's agenda to make America stronger.

The United States is proud to have allies like Greece, and we work every single day to bring this vital partnership to new heights. The United States Government has no higher priority than the safety and security of Americans overseas.  One of our strongest partners in these efforts is the Overseas Security Advisory Council, which brings together @StateDept experts and private sector security professionals to strengthen threat awareness, information sharing, and crisis support.  I was honored to participate in the OSAC European Regional Council Annual Meeting in Athens to discuss how we can work together to protect American citizens and interests throughout this region.
