@UncleFunkbeard @JulienceUK Remember those tape demos?, we lisetened to them although the quality was usually low and sort of liked it. Nowadays it will sound like crap to most of us. There were people who actually collected those tapes, specially punk stuff.

@Uselessdogs @JulienceUK Yeah, I had an 8-track recorder in the mid-90s that saved to a hard disk. Could basically fit one song per disk, lol...

@UncleFunkbeard @JulienceUK independent radio stations etc. But it needed the will of reaching out. Those who just recorded for the pleasure of it would most probably only reach friends and family. Pre streaming still had the selling thing, but when post streaming came,I think thatś where the BProd appears

@UncleFunkbeard @JulienceUK There's pre-streaming, and pre-DAW. Before DAWs I think the bedroom producer concept was not exactly what it s now. In those days one (not me, but friends of mine) had to really want to reach audience to do so. Night clubs (gigs), fanzines, very small but active labels...
