Most people aren't scrolling X looking for new music, but if you happen to be, every Saturday my friends and I watch music videos, chat, and listen to music together on Twitch starting at 10:30 AM EST. Link in my profile. If you're a musician, I'm always on the hunt for great music videos to add to the playlist I use for the stream. If you have a video on YouTube, leave it in the comments. If your video's crispy (subjectively, of course), I'll add it to the Indie Music Hunt Ultra Massive Playlist and play it on a future stream.
Indie Music Showcase Submission Guidelines: 1. Please post your artist name, song title, and a YouTube link. Note: it does NOT have to be a video - a YouTube Music link is perfectly fine. 2. You must be the artist or an authorized representative to submit a song. 3. All genres welcome. The song doesn't have to be new, just awesome! 4. No AI-generated music, screaming, racial slurs, or politics. 5. The Showcase is a labor of love. I will never charge you any fees or accept any consideration for airplay. I just play music that I like and want to share with the world!

A lot of artists didn’t stop creating. They just stopped trying to be visible. There’s a point where you realize the energy required to stay “present” is bigger than the energy needed to make the work 😔 and something in you decides the work still matters more

You ever stumble onto a clip that reminds you what real American music sounds like? That’s Doc Watson on guitar and Earl Scruggs on banjo playing Cripple Creek. Doc Watson was blind. Let that sink in. No sight. Just instinct, memory, and fingers that could outrun most guitar players alive. Scruggs basically invented modern bluegrass banjo. Watson’s flatpicking changed acoustic guitar forever. Two Appalachian guys. No auto-tune. No smoke machines. No backup dancers. Just hands, strings, and decades of skill. Different era. Different standard. How many musicians today could sit down with nothing but an instrument like that?
