@LadyDemosthenes During our first 5 years of marriage, we lived in 6 different places. By year 7 that was 9. At year 10 … still 9. You’ll find your place.

I was filling out my paperwork for my new teaching job this August and they needed my addresses for the last 7 years… that would be 6 different addresses… 👀 I swear I’m not a fugitive from the law. 😬 (and that’s just the last seven years 😭)

@4th_nephite @LadyDemosthenes To say otherwise is inaccurate. Just look at the rest of the verse: “and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” David’s spirit just needed to be renewed (which means it pre-existed and could continue to exist) compared to his heart.

@UserO010 @LadyDemosthenes Right. But to say it’s created from nothing is inaccurate. It just means to create and you’re correct its divine creation. We do not need to inject any presuppositions into it, especially anachronistic ones that run contrary to ancient near east thought.

This person shared this definition to “prove” that this word in Hebrew DO NOT mean to create something out of nothing… I read it multiple times, just to make sure I wasn’t having a stroke, and highlighted how it specifically SUPPORTS creating something out of nothing. And this quoted tweet is her response. Am I having a stroke? Again, this highlighted definition was the source SHE gave me!

@RwBneck69 @LadyDemosthenes He is outside of time. He has always existed. There is no beginning for Him. For us and the natural world, there is a beginning. Science confirms God’s creation - there’s no conflict. I’m puzzled by people who think that there is one.

@UserO010 @LadyDemosthenes Not according to your interpretation & understanding but God didn’t just appear out of thin air. Science & religion can coexist yet many mystical believers in scripture can’t seem to comprehend that! They want to be like pagans believing in magic & worshiping inanimate objects!

Y’all, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Genesis 1:1 God created that formless void earth first, in Genesis 1:1. Probably should have read that first. God created the formless and void earth first, and then shaped it throughout the following days. He made the dust on day three, by the way. It’s all laid out in order, very simply.

@4th_nephite @LadyDemosthenes Bara/beta is only ever attributed to YHWH in the Bible. It is a divine creation. So, when David is asking for a new pure heart, it is because he cannot do so, nor can any other earthly creature. A sinless heart WAS created divinely generations later - and only by YHWH.

@LadyDemosthenes @UserO010 So instead of just accepting that the word can clearly be used for transforming, not just creating (the obvious reading) - you’d rather invent a notion to not have to refine your argument? Bold strategy if you want people to take you seriously.

@RwBneck69 @LadyDemosthenes Let scripture interpret scripture. There is nothing that suggests nature is above God. Or that God is bound by natural law. But there is a lot that makes God irrational and emotional: mercy and grace for two (thank God!) & shows Him above natural law (feeding 5k with little).

@UserO010 @LadyDemosthenes That’s your assumption & opinion. I see things differently! Scripture sees things differently as I & others interpret. You can interpret scripture any way you’d like but we see things differently!

@MormonNational The next verse quite literally refutes your point. Gen 1:27 “So God created man in His own image…”. There is nothing there that suggests anything about another diety. YHWH is the sole creator and God. Trinity, angelic council, royal We - any of these explain Gen 1:26.

Imagine believing in the trinity after reading the first chapter of the bible God and at least one other diety created man Man was made in their image. So god and another diety (Jesus) looked similar and made us after their own image

@adammichaelwood @LadyDemosthenes If we can’t agree on what a word means then there can’t be serious textual criticism, because one can simply claim the word used was actually a different word. (“It may be spelled CAN but it meant “CAN’T” for example).

@4th_nephite @LadyDemosthenes You are missing something very clear. The word BARA is used in Gen 1:1 - which means to create out of nothing. The word that is used to contrast this is ASAH (the circled red word) requires something. ASAH was NOT the word used in Gen 1:1. So YHWH created from nothing, something.

@RwBneck69 @LadyDemosthenes And very natural. But YHWH is super-natural, as in beyond nature. He is the one who established the rules of nature, who can disregard them. He is the source of miracles - healings that define logical explanation. He even returns people to life from death - which is unnatural.

@LadyDemosthenes When someone believes God created the earth from nothing they’ve abandoned all logic & become subject to mysticism & irrationality! God obeys natural & universal laws! The earth was created from existing matter that was unorganized! Very simple & very logical!

One thing I hope we don't do as 49ers fans is act like Brandon Aiyuk wasn't a great player for us while he was actually playing. Yes he wasn't at his best after missing camp due to the contract talks and clearly he's an idiot now but it doesn't change how talented he is.

@LuckyMcGee @seawife61 @derrickstheman Nah. He’s a tool. It was the French and their stupid theories (seriously - look it up - a few French philosophers decided to make theoretical arguments about post-truth, race, gender. Then some git at Columbia took all 3 and turned it into an elective). O is just a useful idiot.

Before you get into a heated debate with a low IQ retard about the Karmelo Anthony verdict, come with me for a quick thought experiment to show you why you are wasting your time to try to reason with them. -If their races were swapped, but ALL other facts of the case remained EXACTLY the same, they would be *cheering* the guilty verdict, and demanding the maximum punishment. (While trying to raise more BLM money, probably.) -Alternatively, if the verdict had been NOT guilty in this SAME EXACT scenario, they would be just as mad as they are right now, and rioting for “jUsTiCe! ✊🏾” (While looting Footlockers, burning down cities, and trying to raise more BLM money.) All with the same EXACT basic FACTS. You know it, and I know it. It’s not about justice. It’s never about justice. These low IQ people see NOTHING but race, and they will ALWAYS find a way to justify the actions of their “brutha” no matter what eye witnesses say, autopsies expose, or what the evidence shows. Dindu nuffin.

I appeared on the Steve Gruber Show this morning to discuss trends in extreme weather. Reality doesn’t match alarmist claims by most relevant metrics. Strong-to-violent F/EF2+ tornadoes are down >50% in the U.S. since 1954; major hurricanes landfalls are down by ~45% since 1930; wildfire burn acreage is down by >90% since 1926 (mostly due to fire suppression); there have been no increases in river floods or droughts, the worst of which were in the 1930s and 1950s; and extremely hot days here in the States are down by ~18% since 1900. cc: @stevegrubershow

@jamestalarico Oh look. Another disingenuous statement. Dude - if we can’t trust you to tell the full truth on something like this, what happens when things are really important? This guy was one of 20 sub-contracted attorneys. And recently had a falling out with Paxton around a newer case.

@LuckyMcGee @DVinny84 You gotta admit: there is going to be a certain segment that now goes and sees the film just so they can say “it didn’t shake MY faith!” Meanwhile, he’ll be laughing all the way to the bank.

@BreeSolstad @TheLaurenChen Neither considered aliens. Both did not wish to place limits on what God can or cannot create. The Vatican: “The discovery of extraterrestrial life would not contradict Catholic doctrine because all creatures, wherever they are found, would ultimately be creatures of God.”

@spectrecotton @LuckyMcGee What if Christ didn’t need to come because they kept the law successfully? Or What if they developed in the Garden of Eden, directly communing with YHWH, because they never were tempted by a fallen angel?

The proof of the existence of aliens will do nothing at all to shake my faith. In fact, it will only affirm to me what an incredible creator my God is. When I was a child, I remember asking my father, a man of faith, whether or not he thought there were aliens from other planets, and his answer to me is something I will never forget. He said to me, “Doll, if our God is so powerful to create the universe, with its vast galaxies, and this incredible planet of ours, and every living plant and creature on it, who are we to say he did not create a whole other planet with different kinds of beings?” So, no… Steven Spielberg’s new movie, nor any release of files from the government are going to shake my faith in any way. In fact, if I should ever meet an extraterrestrial being in my lifetime, I’m going to immediately tell him about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and how if they will repent for all the anal probes, they too can be saved. 🙏🏼👽🛸✝️

@LuckyMcGee @DVinny84 Similar to the evolution debate, a dunce like me does not understand what aliens have to do with disproving God, bc I don't see it. No matter what we find in terms of knowledge or exploration, it is all God's domain.

@BreeSolstad @TheLaurenChen You should read the prophetic writings of many of the Catholic saints. Many writing dating back to the 17th century actually mention life on other worlds. It is not a threat to Christianity, and you need to discuss with your priest. You are saying anti-church doctrine.
