I got a response from @Janeese4DC to Trump’s threat to take over D.C. if she wins.
“We are not going to protect our rights or home rule by obeying in advance,” she says. “The people of D.C. elect the mayor… and they want someone who will stand up to Donald Trump.”

Hoo boy, here's some dark money for ya: business-backed Opportunity DC took in a total of $817k since March. Of that $660k comes from its nonprofit arm, so its source is murky.
The rest comes from major developers/property owners/lobbyists: all being spent to back McDuffie.

Speaking of, American Future (funded by major sports betting companies) is sending a ton of these citywide mailers hyping Doni Crawford/Phil Mendelson: including this very AI one at center. But they haven’t filed any financial reports so no idea how much cash they’re dumping in…

None of this stuff is new to America--but puts (again) into perspective how one set of people is subject to the law in ways another is not.

4) This obviously looks terrible for teens, but remember, adults get into stupid fights like this also and we don't condemn adults writ large. That being said, all attention is now on teens, so what happened at the Chipotle with that group is going to impact all teens.

@theHillisHome About a mile away that, other adults (checks notes) bring weapons to the Capitol; assault police officers; enter without permission; vandalize the building; are escorted peacefully outside by police; and, after being convicted, are pardoned.

@Meagan_Flynn Years ago, the Post didn't cover when the charter board chair resigned bc of pressure for financial conflict of interest--uncovered by a Post investigation! The Post since then covered many DCPS scandals--but fewer around charters, all the while running op-eds for charters.

East Potomac is not just a golf course. On any given day you will find cyclists, runners, families picnicking, birders, kids fishing, and people just sitting by the water. The perimeter road alone is one of the great outdoor spaces in the DMV. The renderings eliminate all of it. (2/5)
