Enquiring Mind

@Veracityscape

As a child in the 50s, I am told that I was always asking why, why, why ! Labelled, 'the boy with the enquiring mind', I am still asking the same question.

@NicoFvL2 Introduce the concepts of inertia and momentum into your model and you’ll see it makes perfect sense Play with marbles on a train moving at a constant speed and you’ll see that your thinking is false When the train is accelerating you’ll see the marbles behaving differently

The thought that you could train dogs to do this is utterly deranged. I honestly cannot imagine the sick twisted imagination Owen Jones has to believe this could happen. Ever. Only the twisted mind of an Antisemite could believe this utter crap.

From @JackWDart To the Green Party and the Lib Dems, what on earth are you are doing? You bring down Starmer, detonate the centre of government, and drag the country into another period of chaos, all while gambling on an early general election. And for what? Who gains from that? Farage does. He is the one waiting for exactly this kind of stupidity. It is reckless, vain, and politically idiotic. Stop it. To the Labour Party, get a grip, close ranks around Starmer, and get through this period. Take the local election battering that is coming and keep moving. Do not blow up your own government. You still have three years of a huge mandate. That is three more years to keep repairing the damage, to keep turning the country around, and to keep improving people’s lives. The media will keep hammering you, and the political class will keep sneering, but Britain is in a better place under Labour than it was under the Tories. Could things be better? Definitely. But, if Reform get their hands on power, you can say goodbye to the Britain we know. Look at the chaos Trump has unleashed in barely over a year back in office, the cruelty, the instability, the degradation of public life, and imagine that transplanted here. That is the road Farage wants to take this country down. These are not normal times. Politics has changed, the old two-party order is breaking apart, and instability is no longer some distant threat hovering on the horizon. It is coming, and it will define the years ahead unless people stop acting so idiotically.

@RhonddaBryant The art of diplomacy includes the ability to ‘stand in your adversary’s shoes’ Putin expressed his concerns for years suggesting collaboration with The West Acceptance of a neutral Ukraine would have saved lives and infrastructure It was on the table We preferred ‘their’ war

This man is dangerous. Putin has repeatedly attacked and invaded neighbours. Total casualties in Ukraine are running at c 2 m, with c 500,000 deaths. He’s regularly threatened the use of nuclear weapons. And he’s murdered his political opponents.

🚨 NEW: Zack Polanski suggests Donald Trump is worse than Vladimir Putin “As horrendous as Putin is… I’ve never seen him threaten genocide. I've never seen him threaten to wipe out a civilization… Starmer’s so-called special relationship is more of a danger than what Putin is doing in Ukraine” [@antoguerrera]

I’m calling for a ban on firms that donate to political parties from winning government contracts. Politics is too close to big money. It raises questions on who our democracy serves. Break the link - show Labour stands for the public interest, not private profit.

Second this. Some people seem to think it's acceptable to openly criticise political advisers. Morgan has never sought the limelight, never briefed out his own genius, never shown anything other than honesty & integrity. As a friend, I find it sickening the attacks he's faced.
