Ok, let me be real for a minute. I fall into the wealthy 10% category in China. Thus, Xi's policies often hurt my ability to make money. The last 5-6 yrs haven't been good for me financially But Xi's policies help the 90%, low & middle income Chinese, lead better lives by getting them better access to healthcare & education If I only cared about myself, I'd hate Xi & criticize him. These are the people the WSJ & Bloomberg quote. Wealthier Chinese hurt by the crackdown on corruption & consumer/worker protections If I cared about the well-being of the majority of Chinese, I'd say Xi is doing a fantastic job for the people of China So, here it is: Xi is doing a fantastic job for the people of China Not good for me personally but a government shouldn't just care about rich people
