A group of BDS activists in Newry, Northern Ireland 🇬🇧, filmed themselves entering a supermarket and removing Israeli products from the shelves.
Walking in and deciding what others are allowed to buy.
Not because of what the products are.
But because they are Israeli.
Targeting something solely because of its origin has a name.
At what point do we stop pretending this is just activism?

@CoreyWriting Both the false claims of "apartheid" and "genocide" are emotional claims unbased in law or logic. Both definitions change because they deal with Israel.

Almost like how you can't explain how Gaza is "genocide" by a logical or legal perspective, just relying on complete appeals to emotion.

Nobody who claims Israel is not an apartheid state can explain to you from a policy or logical perspective why it is not an apartheid state. The word just hurts their feelings.

Seven Jewish individuals were arrested on suspicion of assaulting Palestinians in the village of Khirbet Humsa in the Jordan Valley about ten days ago. Police: “According to suspicions, a number of extremist rioters raided buildings in the village and forced out their occupants, while binding them, assaulting them violently, and even committing indecent acts against one of the victims. Four required medical treatment. In addition, the rioters caused damage at the scene and stole property and a large number of sheep.”

Maybe your ok with the fact that on any given day when you drive out of Shilo, you have a good chance of rocks, bullets or Molotovs thrown on your car by Arabs. The IDF has not been able to prevent that from happening to you. And you are ok with that- thats liveable. But if the NY Times writes a hit piece against settler youth burning tires and scribbling graffiti, thats crossing a red line. That drives you crazy. Sounds like you need help.

The algorithm here is so difficult at times. I am shadow banned, like I suspect, many others. Anything Iran or Somaliland has been erased from my feed despite that I follow many from both places. I believe that this will be corrected eventually.

Only in Arab media do you feel an undertone of gloating when innocent Israeli civilians are killed in war. Here, 27-year-old Israeli woman Nouriel Doubin is called a “settler.” Legally and politically, she’s not, because settlers are Jewish Israeli citizens who live in Area C of the West Bank. Doubin was killed in territory recognized by at least 165 nations and international law as Israel, not disputed whatsoever. But using the word “settler” makes her dirty and an aggressor, and justifies killing her. This is sick. Whatever the history, civility is required even in the worst kinds of bloody conflicts. It is this moral failure that produces atrocities like the October 7 massacre.

So I wrote a post saying what’s happening in the West Bank is apartheid, and then Shai Davidai responded, and his “gotcha” argument for why it’s not apartheid is that actually Jews and Palestinians live apart from each other. Hmmm, I wonder how one might say “apart” in Afrikaans.
