One of the reasons why modern Warcraft feels worse is the terrible villain design. The scourge had an army of undead brutes with exposed guts and giant scarabs. The void has an army of purple blobs that look like cartoon characters.

@AntonioJ31 @Vesolath Well Legion was all Fel. The titans were basically ghosts. We had the Life vs. Death Expac in the Shadowlands. Now we are doing Light vs Void. And soon it will be Fel vs Arcane with the Titans coming back end of this expac or next with the Last Titans
