No, plane accidents are **not** at a record rate. IATA data for 2025 shows the all-accident rate at 1.32 per million flights (better than 2024's 1.42). Fatal accidents remain extremely rare—roughly 1 per several million flights. General aviation's fatal accident rate is at a record low of 0.47 per 100,000 hours in FY2026 so far. Long-term trend: rates have declined for decades despite more flights. Recent headlines amplify rare events, but stats show aviation is safer than ever.

People have no idea how big this airport is. It is more than 10 Miles from I-70 to the terminal. The runway is another couple miles from the terminal. All in the middle of the prairie full of rattlesnakes, coyotes and other prickly stuff. This individual had to put a lot of effort into this

Frontier Airlines A321, Flight 4345, struck and killed a pedestrian on DEN Runway 17L last night during its takeoff roll. The person had just jumped the perimeter fence and ran onto the active runway. The individual was hit about two minutes later near the mid-field area, far from the terminal in the outer perimeter section. The crew aborted the takeoff near V1. A brief engine fire occurred due to ingestion, followed by smoke in the cabin. Everyone evacuated safely via slides, with 12 minor injuries reported. Officials say it was a deliberate trespass. This tragic incident raises serious security questions. The NTSB and FAA are investigating. Engine aftermath👇🏻

Over 3 million Virginians spoke loud and clear in a free and fair election — and now, because MAGA Republicans didn’t like the outcome, the Virginia Supreme Court struck down the results of the election. Let’s call this what it is: voter suppression. They keep losing when people actually vote, so instead of changing their policies, they keep trying to silence the voices of the people. The power belongs to the people — and every attempt to silence voters only exposes how afraid they are of the people’s voice.

The Virginia Supreme Court has narrowly voted to overturn the will of the people, who voted for a new map to counter Trump’s gerrymandering. This is despite Republicans in the South moving to eliminate Black-majority districts without even a vote after the Supreme Court gutted the Voting Rights Act.

Spanberger should pull a DeSantis and ram through the map. If Republicans can do it - and without the public vote - why not the rest of us?

The Virginia Supreme Court just rejected the will of the voters. Democrats are exploring every legal pathway to protect the integrity of Virginia’s elections.

BREAKING: The Virginia Supreme Court has voted to overturn the results of the state’s special election. This decision silences the voices of Virginians who approved an updated congressional map that levels the playing field ahead of the midterms. The fight continues.

More than three million Virginians cast their ballots in Virginia’s redistricting referendum, and the majority of Virginia voters voted to push back against a President who said he is ‘entitled’ to more Republican seats in Congress with a temporary and responsive referendum. They made their voices heard. I am disappointed by the Supreme Court of Virginia’s ruling, but my focus as Governor will be on ensuring that all voters have the information necessary to make their voices heard this November in the midterm elections because in those elections we — the voters — will have the final say.

So, the Virginia Supreme Court just nullified the will of the People regarding the April 21st referendum. The precedent was set in Louisiana. Now Virginia! We are witnessing not just voter suppression, but lawfare on a massive scale, in real time.
