@MIBProductions Let us know. I’ve been really curious how performance will be once it’s no longer indexing.
English

@mersomas I find that wallpaper + clear icons to be the best visual experience I’ve had on macOS lately
English

@MicrosoftvApple Mine too. 15 Pro Max under 80GB used. It does have the new Siri and Spotlight though, so it’s understandable to me. My iPad is still indexing also.
English

@Saksham_9996 I have been able to use Apple Music just fine. Only bug I have experienced is the controls occasionally ignore my input.
English

@ApplesClubs Updating is not causing degradation. iOS updates prompt recalibration. Your battery capacity had already decreased prior to update.
English

@DylanMcD8 Personal context does work for me pretty well despite indexing still occurring. Not disagreeing though, I’m sure it will be even better upon completion!
English

@oneuios This battery was already at 90% when I downloaded the beta. Still at 90% days later. I’ve also had this phone plugged in a tremendous amount to help the indexing process and still it has held strong. I think wired CarPlay has caused more damage to this battery than a beta could.

English

@actuallyaridan @perritodlplaya @allypallyxcx That’s unfortunate. My boss has a 15 Pro Max and is running the beta also, so I asked him to test it and his rebooted as intended. We both upgraded using the IPSW and Finder instead of OTA. Not sure if that could create a difference or not. Did you update OTA?
English

@actuallyaridan @perritodlplaya @allypallyxcx I just think it’s isolated, but I am not saying people should try it. If it is a possibility it makes sense of course to avoid that potential issue.
English

@actuallyaridan @perritodlplaya @allypallyxcx I’ve force restarted it everytime. That’s my preferred way to restart. Volume up, down, hold power button.
English

@TylerChess The notification is new and the system has been overhauled. While it is similar to Wi-Fi Assist the functionality is slightly different now, and greatly improved. Switching is seamless, unlike Wi-Fi Assist.
English

@DROOPSmadeit @SenKelly15 @BrandonButch The indexing is critical for Siri AI and Spotlight refinements. iOS has always indexed for days after major updates. Visit the WWDC keynote, they explain what is happening at 13:05. It is extreme, but it is necessary and acceptable. Search will work better than ever, allegedly.
English

@SenKelly15 @BrandonButch WEEKS? Why would they set it up that way? 100% unnecessary and 200% unacceptable
English

@pururajdutta @AnxiousHolly This person says they’ve spoken with Apple and have been told it may take several weeks. x.com/senkelly15/sta…
S@SenKelly15
@BrandonButch It is still indexing. I reached out to Apple and they stated that it could take several weeks to complete.
English

@AnxiousHolly Apple themselves say that it takes “a few days” but it’s already been 6 days…looks like they’re really indexing well for Siri

iOS 27 - More Clear vs More Tinted

iOS 27 Liquid Glass - More Clear vs More Tinted
English

@BrandonButch @arovik85 @SenKelly15 but it didn’t take several weeks. It was typically one week or less before.
English

@arovik85 @SenKelly15 Correct, but indexing has always been a background process on iPhones
English

@perritodlplaya @allypallyxcx I’ve restarted my iPhone 15 Pro Max once or twice a day since getting the beta for testing purposes and it has been totally fine.
English

@allypallyxcx HELPP i thought the bricking on restart fear was niche 😭 tbf most of the reddit reports said their phone was an iPhone 15 / Pro and mine’s a 17 Pro Max and i was still so scared but i still updated anyway
English

@durreadan01 I’m happy that Siri is useful now. iOS 27 DB1 is shockingly smooth. Hard to complain about anything, it all feels really good for where it currently stands!
