@Nnadegrapher Tbh, I’d say focus on your studies. You wouldn’t want any distractions rn. If you’re studying CS, don’t rely on your lecturers. Read more books, and watch videos. Understanding undergrad concepts will help you in your journey.

@_itz_joe It's not easy to get an entry level network engineering role.

Anytime people are looking to pivot into tech, please let them know that there are other roles out there other than web development. The tech industry transcends web development or coding.

@Magalinhasss Hi. Yes, support role was after graduation. However, even as an undergraduate, I was already helping my peers with computer related issues.

@neji_dono I think it’s a standard progression tbh. Transferrable skills from each role. However, it’s not an overnight success. This is at least 8 years of working and studying. Plus, I am very good at my job.

@Mistofsilence These days, it’s a numbers game. You just have to keep applying. Take a look at sample listings for IT support, then learn the desired skills. You may not get a job that will pay you a lot, but once you can get one, it’s only up from there. So keep applying.

@wdcdbn Yes, there are. There are lots of certifications out there, but it depends on the area of cybersecurity. I only write certifications that matter to me. In my case AWS Security Specialty and CCNA (expired)
