Probably wise of the police to just leave them to it until they do something really dangerous like holding a candlelight vigil for a woman murdered by a police officer.

@EdinburghSSC Hunter Square today tree fell down. According to tree surgeons in attendance it was due to root neglect. Three trees in Forest Road destroyed over last couple of years. Never replaced. Zero street tree management

We're gutted that the beautiful hide at our Loch Leven nature reserve has been destroyed in a deliberate fire. The hide has brought people so much joy over the years as a special place to connect with nature. Anyone with info pls contact Police Scotland: ow.ly/kiRg50DEPb7

Unacceptable! Killing 2 of these 4 species using limesticks or shotgun is now punishable with a €200 fine, instead of €2000. There should be no difference in fines based on killing method or on how "valued" some birds are by poachers/trappers. SIGN HERE: change.org/ampelopouliaSOS

A block of Grassmarket flats being used unlawfully as #Airbnbs has finally been closed after the owners' appeals were dismissed. The need for planning permission was essential to get them closed down. The new Scot Gov licensing is proposing to remove the need for planning. 1 of 2

Every day outside Edinburgh schools. Parents in cars swarm, then sit with car engines running, to pick up their kids, many of whom would prefer their independence, were that not considered too unsafe, because of the cars! @SpokesLothian @LivingStreetsEd
George Monbiot@GeorgeMonbiot

When someone sits outside a school with their engine idling, it has the same moral significance as walking into that school without a mask. It's selfish behaviour that presents a grave risk to other people's health. It should be as socially unacceptable as spreading the virus.
