The unsung heroes of #BajajPuneGrandTour ❤️ An army of stray dog feeders and rescuers from all over Pune and PCMC worked with PMC, ably assisted by 2 NGOS, Blue Cross Society and @CCC_Pune, to prevent untoward incidents due to stray dogs crossing the route. The volunteers accompanied the dog catching vans to make sure strict records were kept, dogs were caught as humanely as possible, and sent only to trusted shelters like Blue Cross Hospital It was gratifying to see people offering to confine dogs in their premises during the event - tapri owners, security staff of colleges, shopkeepers, the irrigation dept on Karve rd, and big hearted people who allowed us to keep dogs in their basements, terraces and garden. Thanks to these kind souls, only a small number of dogs were sent to the shelter, and only 2 from Deccan. I myself had 5 dogs jailed in my backyard till the cyclists crossed the Deccan roads.😀 Though I still feel that removing stray dogs during public events and VIP visits is an unnecessary trauma to animals who are already living precarious lives on the streets, our volunteer-PMC-NGO collaboration model shows that a humane, well coordinated effort is possible that keeps animals and humans safe at public events

@happygeek @jonhoneyball @VodafoneUK Don’t think so. Spoofing CLI on calls or texts is incredibly easy. SMS has always been easy to spoof but calls now too in an age of VoIP. It would need an international standards change to fix it.

Got an email from someone who's mobile number has been used by a callerID spoofing spammer. @VodafoneUK said nothing can be done other than new sim foc as no crime committed. So, is there a tech solution that can be used by a *UK* network provider or not? #callerID #spoof

@JM_Scindia @DoT_India It seems spammers are able to change their caller ID at will by either using some app based calling or by hacking SIMs. Either way it is a serious matter. My phone number is being used by them. And I am not alone. Lots of people are reporting it 1/2

I do not have any suspicious apps installed and never clicked on any unknown links. The same phone has another Jio SIM. Not getting any complaints on that number. I suspect some system issue or eSIMs are compromised. Could not reach a human when called 121 or emailed 121@...

@airtelindia for past few days some random people (not in my contacts) are reporting that they are getting missed calls from my number. First I thought those were scammers. But, when I spoke to couple, they seemed genuine. Its an eSIM in an iPhone 13 mini 1/2
