That massive bird. When a #Himalayan #Griffon spreads its wings, it can stretch nearly 10-12 feet across, among the largest birds in the world. #Ecosystem doctors, keep the environment clean by removing dead bodies. Even they eat diseased Caracas. Filmed while releasing it.

@aparanjape Infra is good. But with every new project if we decide that same amount of area of new forest will be created protected and maintained it may be more harmonious with nature and our survival . Target bdp zones and pune . New roads too green cover there. Hills around us too.

The rampage of Canine Distemper Virus in Kanha is on and spreading. 6 Tigers have lost their life in 10 days and the count is increasing slowly. I wonder why a quick action team was not formed when the first post mortem was done. Kanha, once one of the best managed Tiger Reserve and favourite amongst wildlife lovers is slowly being ruined. In the photo is a young male called Digdola who I saw just a few months back in his full glory. Once u spend some time around a Tiger, you get attached with them for life. RIP smart boy. You were truly handsome. I shall miss you. Rest in peace. I will definitely meet you again on the other side. 😔

@aparanjape We should have startups in such fields. Technocrats should start having targetted verticals where India develops tech . Optics , lens design and manufacturing, lasers, imaging, microscopes etc.premier engineering institutes should have interdisciplinary collaboration with targets

@aparanjape Surgical video recordings and 3 D experience is amazing. Digital incorporation of filters in viewing can help the surgeon in some aspects. Like a airforce pilot sees data on his visor , similar systems also there by a israeli firm

@msedcl @CMOMaharashtra exactly at 11 am electricity shut down. In a dream of vikasit bharat , in a state claiming surplus electricity, and that too without intimation. @aparanjape basic necessities first need to be in place. Dream big but with firm basic foundation.

Is load shedding a ritual expected in vikasit bharat . Will it be planned. Will consumers know before hand to plan . Or is Thursday a day to cut load of electricity as a birth right even when we claim surplus. Do we have such arrangements in developed countries too.

A beautiful photo of a narrow-gauge train passing on the Howrah Amta Light Railway in 1969, passing next to the electrified BG line! The Howrah-Amta Light Railway (HALR) was a pioneering narrow-gauge line established in the late 19th century, officially operating under Martin's Light Railways. Initiated via an 1889 agreement, the line connected Howrah's Telkal Ghat to Amta, serving as a vital suburban link before its closure and conversion to broad gauge in the 1970s. The railway was formalized on June 19, 1895, under Martin's Light Railways, starting from Kadamtala station (connected from Telkal Ghat). The line travelled from Howrah (Kadamtala) south-west to Amta, often running alongside the Jagatballabhpur road, serving rural Bengal. Due to rising operational costs and the need for better transport, the light railway was closed in the 1970s and subsequently converted to a broad-gauge railway by Indian Railways. #IndianRailways #history
