Did you actually re-watch your behavior when Best Picture was announced? What should’ve been a moment of elegance turned into a cringeworthy display of total disrespect. Headlocking Paul Thomas Anderson and snatching the Oscar before Sara Murphy and the other rightful producers could even receive it! Shameless. Zero poise, zero awareness. Learn to act with grace. A dignified celebration was reduced to an embarrassing, attention-grabbing spectacle.

The world holds so much misery that miserable hearts forget the face of happiness. They grow comfortable being sore losers, so when they see real sportsmanship it unsettles them! like holy water touching a demon. Because clapping for someone else’s victory requires something many people never learned…how to win with grace & pure joy, and how to lose with grace, chin up & dignity.

What should have been a moment of elegance turned into a cringeworthy display of utter disregard. The Academy has issued a statement after Teyana Taylor was shoved at the #Oscars: “We were extremely upset to learn about the experience endured by Teyana Taylor at the end of the Oscars ceremony last night. We have worked with Teyana over the last several months during awards season, and she has been nothing short of remarkable, supportive, kind, and all about community. Though the incident was with our outside security firm SIS, the experience of every single guest is our responsibility. We have made it clear to them that this behavior is not acceptable. We want to thank Teyana for showing remarkable grace, and we are taking the appropriate measures to ensure this does not happen again.”

And yet, as the winners were announced, Taylor rushed the stage and put director Paul Thomas Anderson in a headlock. She then proceeded to snatch the Oscar statuette, clutching it and jumping around the stage while the film's actual producers - Paul Thomas Anderson, Sara Murphy, and Adam Somner were left to stand at the microphone without! Her behavior all night was attention-seeking & disruptive! No decorum!

Teyana Taylor confronted a man at the #Oscars who "literally shoved me." "You’re a man putting your hands on a female... Everybody’s having a good time, but when you shove me, it’s a different story. Do not touch me, do not shove me.” “Security was just doing a lot,” the Oscar nominee later told TMZ. “There’s always that one, but I’m perfectly fine. I’m happy. There’s nothing to wonder. The first thing people do is definitely make assumptions. But at the end of the day I just don’t tolerate disrespect, especially when it’s unwarranted and unprovoked.” variety.com/2026/film/news…

That’s fine, but your co-star right beside you was nominated in the same category. A little decorum wouldn’t hurt. Then rushing the stage during Best Picture and grabbing the statuette before the producers could even speak turned the whole moment into a personal circus. Where’s the poise?

@CinemaTweets1 Teyana Taylor during the Best Picture handover at the 2026 Oscars was peak rudeness - snatching the statuette from Nicole Kidman before Sara Murphy or Paul Thomas Anderson could even approach the mic turned the whole thing into her personal circus! Where is the poise and decorum?

Tonight belonged to Paul Thomas Anderson. One Battle After Another won six #Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director & Sean Penn’s historic 3rd Academy Award. This film carved itself in the history cinema. I think all of these wins tonight will age incredibly well.

Men are beating women on a daily basis in the Olympics. The women involved are being silenced. Accounts like mine who are speaking out about it are being silenced with copyright takedown demands. Is the world seeing this? #Paris2024 twitter.com/fairplaywomen/…

Just do the damn test Mark! If you don’t believe the IBA results the IOC must do their own DNA sex test BEFORE Khelif steps into the ring again on Tuesday. There’s plenty of time to do the right thing. Why not just do it?!
teresa smith@treesey

@YahooSports Great follow-up question from @MikeKeegan_DM of @MailOnline ‘You question the legitimacy of the testing and how it came about: do you also question the legitimacy of the actual test results themselves?’ IOC *doesn’t directly answer this* but says the ‘whole process was flawed’

Well look: We allow these situations to fester now, because "they're not really a big deal", and "no one is being hurt", and anyway we're all tolerant and progressive and know better than those mean people who punish bad behavior. We're better than that. ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ The East Village saw murderous mayhem this afternoon when someone stabbed three people, killing one of them, at what community residents call an “open-air drug market” that has been a problem for years. Officers rushed to a chaotic and bloody crime scene at around 5:53 p.m. that stretched from 14th Street and Avenue A to 13th Street and 1st Avenue. Local residents have said the area has been plagued by homelessness and an illegal market where drug-dependent individuals sell goods on the street. The three wounded victims were stabbed during a brawl that broke out at the location. Cops say a 31-year-old man was stabbed in the back, a 52-year-old female was stabbed in the leg, and a third, unidentified man was stabbed in the neck. All three victims were taken to Bellevue Hospital, where the woman and 31-year-old man are in stable condition. The 38-year-old man died a short time later; police have not yet released his identity. A 30-year-old man was taken into custody for questioning; a knife was also recovered at the scene. amny.com/news/stabbed-e…
