#Startup distribution should not start with paid ads. I think the healthier path is: - X / LinkedIn showed which language landed. - Reddit showed the questions buyers already ask. - SEO turned those questions into compounding pages. - AEO / GEO tested whether AI could cite and recommend us. - Paid ads: scale what already proved demand organically. today i learned something i keep seeing in building products: how you market the thing often matters more than the thing itself. same product, different framing, different result. that doesn't mean the product doesn't matter. it means distribution is part of the product. what's a lesson like that you've had to learn the hard way?

hot take: ai didn't make building easier. it made shipping feel mandatory. now everyone's in a race to launch faster, show more, be everywhere. sometimes the smartest move is to pause before you burn out. health is part of wealth.

This week I kept coming back to one thing while building with AI. The useful tools aren't the ones that impress me in a demo. They're the ones I still reach for when I'm tired. that seems like a better test for practical AI than anything on the timeline.
