Thread on the role of Western government's in the closure of the Internet. Germany's 2017 NetzDG act, which forced large platforms to hire thousands of moderators or potentially face huge fines for hosting illegal content even outside of Germany, was the first major law.

I really can't deal with the fact that people are just going to work and living their lives and talking about taking vacations as if they are not all about to be murdered by savages within 5 years tops It really should not be that hard to understand this stuff. You just isolate individual variables and look at the direction they're going and how fast and then you look at them all at once Birth rate in white countries declining Immigration accelerating Third world birth rate exploding Taxes increasing Free money for the third world from your tax money increasing Fraud paid for by tax money increasing Violent crime increasing Punishments for violent crime decreasing but only if you're non-white Women becoming more liberal and delusional about the intentions of third world immigrants Women getting more seats of power Media becoming more deceptive Liberals becoming more narcissistic and cluster B Guns being banned even in conservative States but again only for white people Job opportunities open to white men less and less Testosterone declining Anti-white hatred increasing Entire large states and areas of countries becoming unlivable like California and London Nobody alive can deny any of that. Everyone has a smartphone. Everybody knows all of this and they are acting like they're going to go get a rental property to fund their kids' college tuition. There is no waking anyone up, and there is no accomplishing anything without people being awake.

@christopherrufo @KonstantinKisin @wil_da_beast630 I disagree. Woke is not left, especially. It's the excessive belief of systemic inequalities. That's exactly what the "woke right" also believe in, just like the woke left does. Why would you then reject that term? It's the most accurate one and clearly represents reality.

I've done as much as anyone to stop anti-white discrimination in America's institutions, but you have to be brain-damaged to believe that "white men are the most oppressed group in history." This is a leftist attitude, and almost certainly a projection of personal failure, frustration, or resentment onto the Jews or the social tableau. Yes, you should absolutely fight to reduce anti-white discrimination, but if you believe "100% of your problems are external," you're being dishonest with yourself and repressing massive inferiority feelings, which almost certainly have nothing to do with the war in Iran or AIPAC or whatever you think is "holding the white man down." It's leftist thinking. A victimhood fetish. Your pioneer ancestors would laugh at you for whining that you're "the most oppressed man in history" because of Pam in HR.
hoe_math = PsychoMath@ItIsHoeMath

White men are very easily the most oppressed group in history. Nearly 100% of our problems are external, in the system. But no one's going to solve them for you. You have to solve them yourself, which means we have to solve them together. This rat is trying to tell you that you have problems because you are personally deficient. That's probably not true. The average White guy is more competent than the top 20% of any other group except maybe East Asians. But even that doesn't matter, because the top 2% of white guys are more competent than 100% of everyone else put together. It does not matter how many retards you put to work designing a rocket, it's never going to fly. The exclusion of white men from opportunity is the vast majority of the problem. It's not that there are no stupid white guys. About 14% of them are. It's not that there are no white guys with problems. Everybody has flaws. It's that we were always that way, and we were doing thousands of times better than everyone else before somebody snuck into our government and changed all the rules to make sure that we get nothing in our own countries. No one's going to solve that but us, and us includes you. So it's not your fault that things are so bad, but it is your responsibility.

@christopherrufo The online right sees this guy as some great antihero yet despite some pithy takes, he mostly peddles grievance politics for the manosphere. Heard him pitch his own self-help material on a podcast. Weird guru vibe to it, like he alone is privy to the truth about human psychology.

@LudditeHacker Dancing in public? Fine. Flirting? Fine. There is a fine line between too little & too much, a line that modern puritans & perverts reliably miss (in opposite directions, causing people to forget that good taste & eros are possible).

Just came across a Russian streaming service called Zvuk (звук). Was searching for an obscure US indie rock song from the 2000s. Searched on Spotify - nothing. Google - nothing (no YT hits either). Searched on Yandex. Bam, the first hit is from Zvuk - an audio track of the song.

@ShadowbanSlam @pegobry_en Muslim Malay women in Malaysia overwhelmingly wear the hijab these days (although it wasn't always the case historically, if I understand corectly). It is not mandated or anything, it has just become the norm (and undoubtedly there is a social expectation around it).

Nice to see one voice of calm rationality in the newspapers. Unfortunately everything else we see suggests this is another attempt to create a false pandemic. ❗️The pre-incident planning. ❗️The use of PCR tests to inflate the "cases". ❗️The breathless news stories about a small number of, admittedly very sad, deaths and serious illnesses. ❗️The lack of perspective in the news coverage about how rare meningitis deaths are ❗️The labelling of the incident as "unprecedented" when there are outbreaks like this regularly (I remember being warned about it when I went to university in the last millennium) ❗️ The rush to push vaccination as the solution ❗️ Even mention of masks and lockdowns ❗️ Politicians giving medical advice I've seen this movie before. In the UK, more than 1500 people sadly die every single day of all causes (including a small number of young people) but, once again, the media is focusing, momentarily, on a small handful of especially newsworthy ones and ignoring all the others. Are they doing it because they know these stories involving young people are very "clickable", increasing newspaper and advertising sales ? Or behind them, is it the newly-created "pandemic industry" that's feeding them propaganda? After 2020, and after the completely coincidental planning exercise about a meningitis outbreak that just took place, you have to suspect that the latter explanation is the true one. Well done @rwjdingwall for standing out from the crowd, as you did during the first casedemic.

@charlesmurray @avidseries They work best when the conversation is structured & intelligent, like when you went on Louise Perry's podcast. I've read a few of your books so it was interesting to hear the two of you in dialogue, plus Louise always asks good questions. Rambling type podcasts are a bore.

I've never listened to a podcast for more than 3 or 4 minutes. I don't have the patience to listen to people ramble on while I wait for them to talk about something I might be interested in. I'm not sure there's ever been a less efficient way to transmit information.

This woman did immense damage during the covid times with her insistence for zero covid policies. For no scientific reason, Scotland remained under lockdown and controls for far longer than the rest of the country. She made claims on BBC Newsround, to kids of all people that the Covid-19 vaccines were 100% safe, that children should have the vaccine to protect their parents, and that the benefits to children outweighed any risks. All claims completely untrue with no contrary position presented. She should not be giving out medical opinions.

The fact that the Penn Station puncher had no previous arrests makes the story more disturbing. He wasn’t a vagrant, just a normal guy who punched a stranger for bumping into him. “‘Bruh I had a f—ing day … So the n***a I punched died bruh,’ Tate wrote on Instagram Sunday.”

@baylissbaghdad @TheCriticMag Much-needed piece. Another dimension to this trend is that channels like TalkTV and GBNews -- which often provided thorough reporting on issues that the MSM ignored - have become increasingly X-brained and slopified.

@AndrewOrlowski YouGov is launching an AI pilot where survey participants are interviewed by an AI agent. Won't surprise me if the next step is AI participants getting interviewed by an AI agent (with the transcripts analysed by AI).

This causes a certain imperial dynamic in US, where the foreign policy blob/deep state routinely births insane plans and tries to fob them off on a string of political leaders. When the stars align they can even get a George Bush or a Donald Trump to sign off on their mad schemes. Nothing good happens and the politicians take a hit but the US empire itself is mostly fine, and in fact without liberal democratic constraints could afford to throw its weight around a lot more than it does.

This completely right, the US empire can absorb incredible damage, that's one reason it's so prone to recklessness & bad decisions: There are no consequences for the permanent imperial staff (altho the turbulence from fuckups absolutely can destroy politicians & their movements)
Scott Greer 6’2” IQ 187@ScottMGreer

Regardless of outcome, the empire will live on. No one else is going to fill the breach and it can take setbacks. The empire survived Vietnam and Iraq. It’s more than capable of surviving concessions to Iran

Here are all the major policy changes that caused the Boriswave. It's hard to map all the changes on a chart as you run out of room, but these are the major liberalisations under Boris Johnson's Government that caused net-migration to spike so heavily.

Lol Marianna Spring is on BBC presenting a programme on how social media algorithms "spread hate". There's a segment blaming Facebook for riots that broke out in Rotterdam in 2021 during lockdown. Cue dramatic music and Marianna doing her signature expression of frazzled concern.

@ScepticalSista @SirSimonClarke I know someone who voted Lib Dem at the last election in her Surrey constituency bordering London, having moved there the year before "for better schools and safety". It's one of the ones that ended up flipping.

A middle class white uni friend moved to a certain very well to do, well maintained historically Tory controlled area in Kent, then was musing aloud re a group lunch re what to do to support the Lib Dems or Greens in the area. I (historically Labour controlled inner city London borough) then proceded to bite her head off. She moved there for a reason then wants to ruin it from within by boosting these dangerous jokers. Unbelievable.
