@EngRugbyDebate Its the little mistakes. A bad defensive read here, a handling error there which stops him having a complete performance. Compare that to faultless Earl or over-achieving Pollock it makes it close. It is fixable so say its CCSs shirt when he can demonstrate a complete performance

In a game when Fijian physicality was off the chart, no one hit or carried harder than Cunningham-South. How you pick our 23 is beyond me. But he’s got a dynamism few other England players have. I’d have him in the mix somewhere.

I reckon any other nation would think Pollock is the biggest cunt. Luckily I’m English and I think he’s 10/10 #ENGvAUS

@TightFive_Rugby Yes every team bends rules they can get away with. Point being having highlighted it its no longer going unnoticed allowing England to get one up.

I get why England have flagged this - but I fear they’ve just opened up a very grey area. You could highlight very similar actions for every team in the world if you wanted to look hard enough.

@TightFive_Rugby The biggest issue is the backs on the bench add nothing. Bar a like for like replacement (which is equal) any subs will simply result in a poorer back line rendering it pointless

George Ford’s excellent tour to Argentina, and start to the season, rewarded. Squad feels like Borthwick is wary the Aussies have an international match fitness edge, given the recent games they’ve played. Need that control at 10, plus losing the bench. Freeman at 13 is a massive call - does give you three excellent aerial threats and he’ll match up with Sua’ali’i. Pepper and Underhill - yum.

@EngRugbyDebate Its about attitude. Most dream of playing for your country but it does limit your options. Clearly the Willis family are not so patrioticly minded. He sees his bro trearing it up in france and really enjoying his time with decent pay packet. Why wouldnt you chose to go

@Rawdogg15 It's what happens when you let all your squad players go to replace with big money signings that are not yet avaliable. Going to be painful in international windows

🐂 BREAKING: Steve Diamond reported to have been let go by Newcastle! Massive exclusive by @CharlieFelix. It was expected that Red Bull would be looking for a new head coach, but few expected it to be this soon. Feels a strange time to make this call.

@harlequinspod Showed some grit. Undone by the second half power and some unfortunate injuries. Feel positive we can build from here

A tough second half. The bath bomb squad gave us nothing. Tyrone looks back to his best and deserved the late score. A bit of heart to secure the bonus point earlier on. A good pulse check against the leagues best - work to do! #COYQ

@ajsrugby @MartWhit Quins have played best with a decent from 5 ( Think influence of Marler, lowe and Lewis when he was fit). If Booth can improve their impact it gives an improved set piece and go forward for Quins to do Quinsy things

@MartWhit I'd say Kenningham decent at running in traffic. Dombrandt is better at running lines into space and Evans isn't a great carrier. Your best carrier is CCS but he's not a guaranteed starter. Other than that, I wouldn't back many Quins players to get over the gainline

Really solid coach to have a stop gap Not exactly a Quins type of coach but maybe it's what they need just to steady the ship Still believe the lack of oompf in the carry is their main issue

@QuinsFOTS @TelegraphRugby @CharlieFelix @danscho1 Our back line is our best asset but we play best when our forwards show some grit and gain front foot ball which has always been our achillies heal. If Booth can support the forwards then could be a good appointment

Thought this was interesting “ However, last September the Ospreys announced that Booth would be stepping down from his role at the end of the 2024-25 season only for him to depart in December after results dipped. Booth, who specialises in moulding forwards in his own hard-bitten image, will bring an element of steel that Harlequins have often lacked in recent years. It is understood that Harlequins senior players have been informed of Booth’s impending arrival, although his precise job title has yet to be confirmed” Could this mean maybe not a head coach

@RugbyInsideLine His point of difference over other no8 is his footwork, running lines and handling...he is however slotting into a gameplay using a big ball carrier into heavy traffic. He not going to shine if you don't use him for what he is good at. Either adapt the role or leave him out.
