So apparently the median playtime for Steam games, in particular indie demos, is really low. Having players stick around and actually play your games ("retention") is crucial to your game's success. I’ve been shipping games with Unity for 13 years. It’s familiar. I’m an expert in many features and I generally love making games inside of Unity. I don’t want to switch, but I hate to see them slowly turn into Autodesk with stuff like this:

Not as much as you would think. Bezi for unity will edit prefabs and do a ton of heavy lifting for us in the editor. And we’ve found that if it can’t do something directly, it can at least one-shot us tools to make the job easier. I can’t speak for unreal, but this has taken so much tedious engine work off our plates.

@blakepotato @NicolasZu It's also natural for 'traditional' game Devs to use traditional workflows. Game engines, editor graphs, UI authoring etc. These workflows are difficult to integrate into AI.

Has anyone made a commercially successful video game that was heavily made with agentic engineering? I’d like to follow / study those people.
