talked to Opus 4.6 for a couple of hours about personal problems and it has this weird response mode where it's very commanding "put the phone down", "close the laptop", "Save this conversation. Set the reminder. Go to sleep.", do this, do that not sure how I feel about it

Für mich noch immer das großartigste Computerspiel in diesem Genre. Lifetime. Kein Einziges konnte ihm davor/danach das Wasser reichen. PS.: Ja Ja. Monkey Island, dies das. Indie Atlantis trotzdem Bestes für mich.

@cocktailpeanut Yeah before v7 I had to use API/MCP calls and didn't get anywhere with Wan2GP that route either, but had some success with other apps!

before v7 pinokio was not agent compatible at all, so it was natural that you would have issues. v7 added bunch of endpoints and actual skills behind the scenes to make it all work. so it's a completely different story now. basically, prior to v7 it was never supposed to work, but now it is supposed to, and it's just a matter of refining. The good news is, once you get it to work once, it will be cached and keep working, and much faster.

@cocktailpeanut FWIW Wan2GP has a ton of endpoints and has always been a challenge to connect to in Pinokio for my agents, even before v7. I also didn't get anywhere with Wan2GP with Hermes Agent running Minimax on Pinokio most recently.

@cocktailpeanut I haven't gotten it to work yet, including with Claude. Gemini generated some images using Z-Image though (even installed it since I didn't have that specific app already). I ran out of creds on the big services trying to get it to run. Need openrouter to keep going.

@cocktailpeanut Kind of thinking it will be better, and I may wait, for when it can use the GUI rather than just TUI.

@cocktailpeanut It's been... messy here. Tried different providers and it still tries building its own solutions for models rather than using the skill even when explained. Also, it doesn't seem to be able to help with memory management in the same way the Wan2GP app does.

A Redditor has discovered an AI generated artwork in Crimson Desert. There are other posts that also claim to have found AI generated images throughout the game. It’s not even a “good” image. Pure slop, just look at the horses legs LMAO. Really disappointing.

@djcows Maybe they'll learn docker, hosting their claw on the guest network, what not to share in chat, which models to try, how to expand skillset without falling subject to supply chain attacks, and so on. Talking down to people learning to run something properly isn't a win.

Is this what you thought Yellowstone Park was like? Unmoving traffic jams lasting 1-3 hours; rivaling that of suburban areas in big cities. Nowhere to park. Insane prices. Tourists harassing animals, littering, picking flowers, influencers everywhere, sticking their hands in basins and ruining them, no good camping spots left because people use AI programs to snatch up the good ones within milliseconds of the site opening up, and most of your day spent behind Asian tourist busses. The overwhelming amount of tourists have made the park experience unbearable. You used to be able to go there and explore nature peacefully. Now it's worse than Disneyland.

I don't hate Starfield, but I'm tired of playing games that feel like they are designed by lizard people terrified of human connection. Upon arriving in Akila City I intervene in a bank robbery. I shoot some bank robbers and save some hostages. I then get to witness a Husband and Wife reunite after this traumatising event. Do they hug or hold one another? Do they sob in relief or grief over what they have experienced? No, they can't and don't do any of that. The technology and design of these games are so bereft of human connectivity I just get to watch a pair of waxy mannequins under deliver mumbled dialogue to one another. That's it. In Cyberpunk 2077 for example (a game Starfield desperately wants to be, by the way) people touch one another, they kiss and connect and cry and scream and have all these human moments. Starfield can't do any of this.

@minhsmind Just remember that stories come from people--not technology--and most of what we see in modern media are trash or not really stories at all either. Producers shifted to reality TV as a norm because it's so cheap to make. But let's not talk about saving costs with AI.

Just to name a few good things in the last few years: Severance. Pluribus. No Other Choice. Hamnet. Knight of the 7 Kingdoms. There’s really excellent stuff. This year will also be a great year for film. I think AI video stuff hasn’t yet been able to make stuff that holds our attention for more than 30minutes. We will get there though. But we aren’t there yet.

I don’t get this obsession in AI video space to claim that something would have cost hundreds of millions of dollars to make. I get that VFX is expensive. But at a minimum people are ignoring the cost that goes into great writing. I’m sorry to all my friends in AI video but I watch a LOT of television and film on a weekly basis. And I can confidently say that even the best in AI video is still not touching the level of writing we see in popular television shows or films. Nothing in AI video is touching anything in the nominated lists of Emmys or Oscars let alone the winners of these esteemed awards shows. We need to humble ourselves. So please, spare us the hundred million dollar boasts. I’m incredibly frustrated with this because this narrative is incredibly disrespectful to the cinematic arts that I love and hurts the conversation of bringing AI video forward into the light into a healthy dialogue. It’s so transparently incendiary and not at all additive to the moment. I love AI video, cinema, arts, etc and think it deserves a chance. I also think traditional arts, Hollywood, etc. are incredible and have produced some of the best and meaningful storytelling humanity has ever seen. Respect needs to go both ways. It’s unfortunate so many are anti-AI and fail to see the value of it. They fail to see how empowering and fun it can be. But also, if you’re saying Hollywood is done because AI is here, it belies a fundamental arrogance in you and a disrespect for craft and the hard work of understanding emotional tapestry.

One of the things that amazes me most about Seedance 2.0 is that with this technology I could create classic-style animated films, something many nostalgic fans would definitely appreciate, as well as kids today. That said, it’s always better to use Midjourney styles like this one. I’ll be sharing this with my subscribers as well.
