The LPDDR4/5 RAM shortage might impact us more than the chip shortages a few years ago, if this holds up. Seeing SBCs go from $35-45 to like $60+ for even low-end models will be sad, but I don't think impossible. It affects smaller manufacturers even more than RPi...

Memory safe Linux now has pretty fonts because I ported freetype, fontconfig, harfbuzz, and graphite to Fil-C. This is the Deja Vu monospace font. This entire desktop is memory safe because everything is compiled with Fil-C. It's snappy - you could use it as a daily driver

Streaming services are getting really shitty. The big reason Piracy died was becouse the service we got from Netflix 10 years ago was great.
Now, to watch same amount of content, I need several streaming services, some content are even geofenced if you dont use VPN. It's like the entertainment industry is begging for Piracy to come back.

@TomasGreif Yeah, it should be possible since it was a condition for inclusion, but it adds friction and it's different from Square, where you can pay with any LN wallet. We also failed to communicate those nuances to the users, so they felt cheated and the merchants gave them weird looks 🙃

Square rolling out Bitcoin payments to 4M merchants is interesting infrastructure-wise.
We've had Qerko doing this in Czech Republic for years across 2,000+ venues.
From what we've so far here, payment optionality doesn't translate to adoption of bitcoin as MoE.
