Most of my bitcoin visualizations, 5 years of work, have been deleted. No recent back ups...I'm a retard. Trying to recover what I can, which isn't much. Don't think my site will update anymore so I might rug it until I piece together at least some of what was originally on there

Not yet final (still deciding on the subtitle) but it starts to look pretty nice. What you think?

People often don’t realize that you can’t talk to Asians the same way you talk to Europeans or Westerners. There’s a cultural expectation that historical context, respect, and subtlety are treated differently what might seem casual or humorous in the West is deeply offensive in Japan, In Japan, context, respect, and subtlety guide almost every interaction. Unlike in many Western countries, where directness is valued, Japanese communication often relies on reading between the lines.

Japanese PM Sanae Takaichi's reaction as Trump says "Who knows better about surprise than Japan? Why didn't you tell me about Pearl Habour?" Undoubtedly the worst American diplomatic gaffe in post-war US-Japan history.

1/ Denmark was reportedly preparing for full-scale war with the US over Greenland in January, with military support from France, Germany, and Nordic nations. Elite troops and F-35 jets with live ammunition were sent, and runways were to be blown up to prevent an invasion. ⬇️

1. Of course I align with the view that Bitcoin in the ideal theoretical case is purely monetary with no other uses. But that's only one part of the analysis here. 2. Because in the digital world, steganography and programming around rules is a thing. Spammers have various ways they can spam the chain, and basically every move we make to try and stop them, harms us in some other way. I've gone back and forth endlessly on this, but even BIP110 only increases the spammer's cost to spam the witness by about 0.4%. If you think 0.4% is enough to deter the spammers, sorry mate but you're just wrong. And also, a lot of the small spam is text inscriptions that fit under 83 bytes of OP RETURN (permitted by BIP110 ANYWAY). And even if we took away the segwit discount, this would harm lightning and other L2 protocols. And even worse, spammers can still use fake pubkeys and things like Stamps or BPUB and we don't even have a good way to stop those. So we would just maim our own monetary scripting, all to INEFFECTIVELY attempt to stop spam. We have the block size limit and we have fees. They're good enough for now. Focus on growing monetary adoption and ideally improving our L2s. That is the actual realistic path forward.

BREAKING: 🇺🇸Square to enable bitcoin lightning payments as default for over 4 million merchants ⚡️ Square will auto-enable Bitcoin payments for all eligible partners starting March 30, 2026. A Terms of Service notice was sent to merchants registered with Square's POS solutions. This means over four million businesses using Square could become Bitcoin accepting merchants overnight. Up until now, business owners had to manually activate bitcoin payments and decide whether to auto-convert to USD or keep in BTC. The rollout is part of Block’s push to integrate Bitcoin payments across its ecosystem including CashApp, leveraging the Lightning Network instant, low-cost transactions. Sellers will still have the option to disable the feature or automatically convert Bitcoin to USD at the point of sale. @Square

There is a popular myth that Poland enjoys its economic miracle because it didn’t accept immigrants. In reality, it did let them in, but unlike Western Europe, Poland offers no lavish welfare. Most immigrants work, integrate, and contribute to society. That’s the difference.

SREFS can't be used with @midjourney v8, but you can still get very stylized images with a good prompt: This photo depicts a futuristic cityscape at sunset, with skyscrapers and modern high-rises. In the background, a large, stylized sun slowly sets, emitting a warm glow. Coconut trees and neon lights dot the foreground, blending the retro and cyberpunk aesthetics. 80s, Photography, Steamwave, Shot using Kodak Portra film stock.
